Everose Daytona?

Curious about the forums take on these rose gold Daytona’s. I like both of them a lot but I just really wish they made the ceramic version on a PM bracelet. Two questions... (1) do you think Rolex will offer this dial combo in the future with a ceramic bezel and PM bracelet, and (2) if you had to chose between these two current references pictured below (and please assume pricing was the exact same for both), which would you choose?

Tough call. I’m a big fan of the 116519LN and, as a result, would likely go with the similar ceramic bezel here. I just like how it makes the watch pop and become more wearable. As long as the Everose goes with your skin tone it’s really hard to make a bad decision here. Good luck!

I love the 116505 with the PM bracelet. It´s such a nice watch, just not for me. Always happy to see the wrist shots on here.

I’d go for the OF. I think it’s an absolutely stunning looking watch and seeing it’s predecessor (on leather) in a magazine was what got me interested in Rolex in the first place, having previously been slightly hostile to the brand. Personally the full gold version looks too feminine for my tastes.

That’s a tough call. But in terms of wearability. I would go with the OF.

That’s a real tough one, I’d be happy with either, both stunning with great wrist presence.

Go for the gold bracelet. Obviously, much more expensive. But, you will have the canonic Daytona look, not the cheap (in my opinion!) rubber OF "bracelet" (strap).

Also, I think the older, non-ceramic bezel looks much better.

Love to see a CE Daytona but been saying that since 2013, plus Rolex's RG is a bit coppery so a CE bezel would really help.

I have owned the RG Daytona on the bracelet with the black dial and really liked the pictures and the way the watch looked in person. The RG does not match my skin tone and did not work as well for me as YG/WG/Platinum. I also do not own the accessories to match the metal. Belts, cufflinks, eyeglass frames, etc. Traded it after a short time. The secondary market on RG is also a difficult place as fewer people are interested. Go see the watches in person and see if they work for you.

actually one of my friends with the black dial. Ive owned personally now 8 or 9 but just haven't been able to justify picking another one up now theyre commanding big money. I remember the first one I picked up all those years ago when they were £13k

I would always choose the model with a full metal bracelet because I don't like rubber straps.

I certainly think its the next evolvement. I have seen some friends customise all rose models with ceramic bezels and they don't look too bad.

I prefer the black plastic strap version. Plus you can get a nice leather band for it too.

I really like the 505, but having owned a 515 I must give that watch the nod. It is such a beauty, and a bit (just a bit!) under the radar with the strap. Call me crazy, but I feel a chronograph is at home on a strap. Ceramic bezel is icing on the cake, all in all a beautiful watch.

Personally I like the solid gold one as opposed to the ceramic bezel . I just like the weight, the perceived toughness, and the look better. It really comes down to a personal opinion as to what you like the look and feel of. As to whether Rolex will add a solid gold bracelet to the ceramic model, only Rolex knows and you could be waiting forever instead of enjoying what you can get now.

Both are stunning models with beautiful dials. I've seen the one on the solid PM bracelet out in the wild before. It is definitely an eye-catcher in that RG color!

Both winners in my book!

Yeah, I can pick up either one of these for around $28K. I do like the OF but I think for equal $$$, the full gold bracelet is just a better buy...

I've tried both on and they are both stunning.

For the same money, the bracelet is a no brainer. You can always source an OysterFlex strap separately.

Just my 2 cents...

Think the 116515LN with black dial is incredible.

I think this pick is always collection and personal taste dependent, but the look in real life actually pops a lot more with the OF.

Love both references ! (YG would be my personal choice) If you don’t have a full gold bracelet in the collection....I’d definitely go that route first. My .02

I was in a similar situation but with YG. I love the ceramic bezel but love the bracelet. I ended up going with YG sub black dial because the OF isn’t for me and the non Cermaic bezel doesn’t do it for me. Idk why they wouldn’t incorporate the ceramic bezel across the entire Daytona line already

Seriously... I really just want the full PM bracelet with the 116515 head. I'm strongly leaning towards the 116505 but it just feels like a compromise which I hate to do at this price point.

I get it...I had same choice. I went with oysterflex for 2 reasons...
-the contrast of the bezel looks outstanding with the black strap
-I already had a full YG bracelet in the collection.
If I wouldn’t have had a full gold bracelet, I would’ve gone the full YG route.
In your case I’d still stick with what I said, even though you have a full WG gold bracelet. In white gold, it’s just not the same thing (visually) as a full YG or RG bracelet. The RG will certainly be toned down compared to YG, but the WG bracelet is SS to 99.9% of the world. Full RG or YG bracelet is unmistakable. So I guess it depends on personal choice. If you want an inconspicuous (so to speak) RG piece, get the oysterflex.

Full PM is always my vote when it comes to PM. Oysterflex seems to be high demand right now especially in WG and YG. I gotta say the chocolate dial with arabic numerals is sooooo gorgeous. Just discovered it now!! Best of luck OP
