BLRO Price Jump to 20K at DavidSW

Price for the fully stickered 126710 BLRO. Price had jumped from 18,575 to 18,975, and now over the weekend to 19,975.

Something is going on, I have seen prices jump at the other sites also. This is common for all SS profesionals. The market is going up. For some reason ADs are complaining that the watches are not being sent out like before.

Wonder if it's really a "free market" at this point. Seems quite contrived in many respects. Watches being released, but no dealers have them. Huge mark up on the secondary. Invisible hand-or a guided hand behind the scenes-it's making me wonder.

Willing buyer, willing seller? This is the definition of a free market.

Not sure it needs to be more complex than that. Sure there’s some BS going on at some ADs, but the constant complaining about the market is getting ridiculous. People acting in their best interest (ADs, SAs, GrayDs, rich guys with money, guys looking to flip)... it’s all legal and straightforward.

I mean isn’t $50k or $100k ridiculous for a vintage sub?

Agreed but pretty sure there is an aggressive level of price fixing going on.

Def a fine line plus not really an easy thing to prove but when the top 5 sellers worldwide raise price simultaneously and arbitrarily, then the market follows, that fine line gets a bit more apparent. Though, I am just another bitter WIS who remembers better times and the ability to complain is all I have left!

And where do you think they got all the watches they are selling? And don't tell me "flippers".

Easy to disagree. I don't think many people here would sell something they own for less than what the market would pay for it.

It is not them. It is the whole market. Look at Chrono24 for the same fully stickered watch. David´s prices are actually reasonable. They don´t dictate a whole world market. The Chinese are going nuts over Rolex SS.

Lol. He’s honest. I asked about a daytona and he showed me a ss from the back but it’s already set aside for a higher value client. The manager has been trying to get a hulk for himself and is still waiting.

Lol. Not the first ad manager who told me that about the hulk. A girl I worked with back during my cell phone days in college was a manager at Tourneau. She couldn’t get a hulk for herself so she settled for a subc date. She did get a pretty hefty discount on it.

Rolex and their strategy. Honestly i was a happy watch buyer and bought a few ss models back in the days to enjoy. Now i am put off completely by this brands strategy.

I went to an AD in Canada last month. They had never seen a BLRO and were excited to see mine.

That was to save you the embarrassment of asking for a SS Sports piece............ For some reason I am very cynical this evening or glass half empty
