What new Rolex (feature or movement or design) would you like in future?

Just had this thought.

Rolex makes lot of time pieces that are just wonderful. Lot of classic design that has been tweaked and modernized over the period of time either aesthetically or internally.

One of the most recent or newest addition to their line was the Sky Dweller in 2012 if I am not wrong (they do introduce new watches but they are based on previous line ups).

Sky Dweller was completely new with new complication and ring command bezel.

Moving to the future, what would you all like to see in terms of innovation or design.

For me I would love to see just an annual calendar watch. Something like a SkyD but no GMT feature. To keep it clean and a way to display day as well.

Basically a day date with the month markers and a ring command bezel!

Just thought to throw out a thought.

I’d also like to see a white dial Explorer, and a Coke GMT Master.

As for added function, I’d be happy to see a diver, either Sub or Sea Dweller with a chronograph and a dive Bezel, like most other manufacturers offer.

That would be awesome. Would love that for sure.

Plus more strap options. I was at an AP boutique and you could get a conversion kit for the royal oak to fit a leather strap if needed. Sounded pretty cool.

I think as scarcity is so high they need to offer more strap options for change ups, so more Oysterflexes in different colours, a la Rubber B, and leather options and with endlinks.

AC and PC only models are probably going to be on the Cellini line only, still some controversy over whether a sports watch should have an AC, see that on the PP 5726 quite often, don't think Rolex are going in that direction for sports models at all now.

Patek too, sweep is a bit stuttery on the 324 cal and hacking would be nice too across the board, think both of these big firms are resting on their laurels and names a bit here.

Not all that glitters is gold when it comes to high beat watches. Generally speaking a 5hz or faster watch will have a noticeably reduced service interval.

I wouldn’t trade a 10 year service interval for a slightly smoother hand sweep.

I stay modest here, an OP 39 with jubilee, non-polished center links. Besides that, I think the OP (39) line has a lot more potential, design as price point wise. Imagine a white gold OP 39, jubilee, green lacquered, monochrome and simple dial.

I'd love to see Oysterflex and Glidelock make their way across the rest of the sports range. I'm sure I'll be burned at the stake for this but I just don't like the Oyster bracelet very much without adjustments.

Compared to a NATO strap the comfort just isn't there. Even better is the MN straps which have infinite adjustment points.

A hi-beat or even better Rolex's take on Spring Drive would be amazing as well from a technical standpoint. Call it Oystersweep or something.
