Sending a stretched Jubilee to MY, anything I should do, or know first ?
Hi guys, I'm planning on sending my old stretched Jubilee to M Young in the next few weeks. Anything I need to know ? Any concerns or issues ? Thanks in advance for all advice.

Nothing to worry about. Just be clear with what you want done. I’ve had no issues whatsoever w the 3 bracelets he’s worked on of mine.

Thanks, yes I'll be specific. Looking forward to having it done, this old jubilee has seen better days. How about a light polish ? Should I allow it, or not ?

Measure the width of the last link on your bracelet, it should be about 15.5mm. Regarding the image, I don't think that particular link will match your folded link bracelet. I suppose there should be folded extra links too but I never saw any when I was looking for a TT oval link, which I showed you in the previous thread. What you are showing is a D link from a later bracelet (Anyone here feel free to correct me, please

Do NOT let MY polish your bracelet. I've posted numerous times about this.
His shop is way too aggressive with polishing, and they all but completely removed the crown on the clasp of one of my old 93150 bracelets by over polishing. |

RolliWorks all the way. Good old USA craftsmanship. Easy to get a hold of. Super cool guy. Awesome listener. A real pleasure. No worries about sending it halfway around the planet and the cost of it.
My jubilee before and after. Stunning results. Sorry for the shilling ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

$300 for the bracelet and exactly 4 weeks. During that time the watch was fully serviced. Yours appears two toned so it might be a little more because of the gold Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

MY has clearly been told not to polish too much in the past. When I sent mine a few years ago he clearly said he would give a light polish where needed and NOT polish near the crown or logos. It looked fantastic. Roliworks is probably great too (I have no experience) but I think MY is absolutely competent.

Oh, and one thing to know before sending is that it will come back much smaller than when you sent it. Be sure you have enough micro adjustment or have an additional link put in at the time.

Yip . What Styles Bitchley said.
Michael did a great job on a Omega Speedmaster 1171 bracelet for me. I was very surprised though how much it shrunk in the tightening up process. Came back much reduced in length, and too small for me at its maximum adjustment. Was no reflection on Michaels great work ... was just a consequence of working with a very baggy bracelet to start with. Who'd have known ?. |

On one of the first bracelets I sent to MY (7836) the clasp crown came back almost entirely erased. Bracelet otherwise great, though. The next two or three I sent him came back perfect. I think the polish jobs from 2015 were more aggressive than the newer jobs, I wouldn't worry about that.

I sent mine to Rolliworks too and it came back almost an inch shorter but much tighter. The oval link jubilee bracelets are a little looser than the D-links anyway even when new because of the geometry. I added only one extra link to mine because it was already at the maximum setting when I sent it in. From what I have seen, they both do very comparable (excellent) work. I'm in California and Rolliworks is in San Fran. Seemed like the obvious choice to me.

No thinking necessary. Pick up the phone and talk to Michael Hui at Rolliworks in the SF Bay area. *(408-800-3244)
I recently bought a 5513 from Michael Morgan (also a great guy!, and a great watch!), but he didn't have the appropriate 1968 rivet. Rolliworks happened to have EXACTLY the same quarter and year Swiss rivet bracelet that he sold me for a fair price. ![]() More importantly, he did some other work on 3 of my watches and they are AWESOME! His prices are good, and he's very approachable. As I said . . . pick up the phone and chat with him! Good luck on the Jubilee ! ![]()

Extra links on EBAY right now. I have no idea if it's a good price for your bracelet but they are folded links in two tone for a vintage Datejust. Definitely ask about the width here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mens-Rolex-...ty!91311!US!-1
