Dallas RSC customer service representative wearing a....

I stopped by the Dallas RSC yesterday. The customer service representative was wearing a white dial ceramic Daytona. I asked her how long she had to be on a waiting list before she got hers.....she just politely smiled.

My information from inside RSC Canadian headquarters, no Pepsis for employees, all are to be sold through ADs.

I don't think anyone gets their watch "directly" from Rolex. The service representative got it from the AD they are associated with (even if it is a Rolex boutique). When that AD gets inventory, they surely offer the references to employees with whatever their employee discount is. This is a pretty common practice at most ADs and doesn't surprise me at all. They probably take care of their own first who may be interested in a particular reference and then offer pieces to their best clients. I don't think ADs spend the first year of a release handing out BLROs and Daytonas to their staff, but if someone can afford one surely they move to the top (and why not).

The RSC in Toronto is not associated with an AD.

It is located in the head office of Rolex Canada.

There's no boutique in Toronto? If not, I'd just imagine that that particular sales representative has a relationship somewhere. I've never heard of Rolex directly supplying watches except to brand ambassadors. Of course, what do I know? Rolex can do whatever it wants.

Just telling you what I was told.

The RSC in Toronto has no boutique. It is the main RSC for Canada and is located in the Rolex Canadian head office.

There are I think two Rolex Boutiques in Toronto:
La Difference (Markham) - Only sell Rolex and Tudor
Raffi Jewellers (Mississauga - Square one) - I believe only sell Rolex

There are other ADs but not sure if they are considered Official Rolex boutiques as they sell other brands as well.

I would love to get a job at the Rolex Head office in Toronto - one can only dream

We have Rolex boutique located at Square One in Mississauga Ontario, (greater Toronto area).

The RSC is just that, the service center only.

The Dallas RSC is 1 of 3 standalone, Rolex owned/operated service centers in the US. It is not affiliated with any AD.

My understanding is that a Rolex Boutique is wholly owned and operated by Rolex themselves.
Under this definition, there are NO Rolex Boutiques in the Greater Toronto Area. The Square One mall and Markham locations are Independently owned Dealers, authorized by Rolex to sell Rolex Watches.

Dallas Texas is not in Canada.

Rolex does not own any boutiques, they are all owned and operated privately.

As stated above, your understanding is wrong. All Rolex Boutiques are actually owned by a regular AD in that country.

Rolex only owns one boutique in Switzerland. Every other boutique in the world is independently owned.

I doubt that Rolex employees get their watches through ADs. I’m certain that AD employees do but not the folks that work directly for Rolex. I believe that Rolex employees get their watches directly from Rolex and at lower price, I have no proof but it wouldn’t surprise me.

I'm glad that's not the case here, anyone can buy whatever they like (except for specialties like rainbow, SARU, sapphire sub, emerald DD, etc). Just can't flip them.

Let's say you want a Daytona or some other hard to get model, do you just let them know you want it and they get you one, or do you wait in some kind of queue or something?

I would say I want it and am serious about it, then I'll have it in a few weeks.

I figured it out!!

Phase 1: Regain my aging eyesight,
Phase 2: Somehow become mechanically proficient,
Phase 3: Ace the stringent interview process,
Phase 4: Make into the highly competitive Rolex tech program,
Phase 5: Not fail out of the tech program, and
Phase 6: Get hired by Rolex to work on the bench next to Bas.

Although daunting, this is the quickest way for me to purchase a Daytona.

I got serious for my SS Daytona with the AD I have known for 15 years during the second week of July and picked it up 2 weeks later on the 25th. Oddly enough it took me longer to get my Pepsi from them, somewhere just over a month after of bugging them.

Haha, I always work with her. She helped me size my Sky-D when I got it.

She really WEARS her Daytona too (scratches and all).

Correct, I was just stating that as some on here are upset at microscopic scratches.

Sadly that’s because many of those ‘people’ are just looking to make a quick couple of bucks vs. really enjoying the watches overall.
