Black or White, it’s the quintessential modern day Rolex

Whether you favor the black or the white, the 116500 is the best looking modern Rolex sports watch. Tell me I’m wrong!

I am not a fan of the Daytona personally, but you can't argue the fact that those are two good looking watches.

Black and white are definitely the ones. Nice pair of watches Frank.

Yup imho the best looking one is the one on the left and the one on the right. There is no winner in my opinion.

You’re wrong! It will be the best looking modern Rolex sports watch when I’m wearing it!

Says the man who will be waiting a long time for his... although I do favor the white dial.

Congrats!!!

“Best looking” ...very personal opinion, and I’m a huge Daytona fan. Those two are gorgeous watches no doubt! But, on aesthetics alone, my first pics for most beautiful Daytona are PT Daytona and 6263 big red.
It’d be tough, for me, to say which is the best looking Rolex.

Your wrong. hehe, Not to bash a Daytona as it's certainly is a good looker, I prefer black. It just never did anything for me even when I got to try a new one on (pre sold) of course at my AD. A week later he offered me a smoking deal on a used black 520 but I had to pass. Again another week later got a call for a new Blnr, Bingo for me.

The white is so stunning! And it has better eligibility to read time.

Legibility yes. Look at the hands of the subdials in both pics.

Rolex made the GMT so you could see two time zones in a single watch! Your solution is intriguing though... Lol

You’re not wrong, Frank, as this is a subjective truth. It’s to be expected that each person would think that their own watch/watches would be the “ best;” that’s why they bought the model.

If we all were to rank Rolex watches from best to worst, our lists would vary greatly.

I wonder if there is an “objective Truth” on which Rolex is the absolute “best”... regardless of opinions or personal tastes....hmmmm....

...I believe that there is, and I’ve actually discovered this objective Truth!

It’s the Submariner.

Sorry, guys, I’m just the messenger.

Michael

P.S. But Frank, I do have to agree (subjectively) that those are some very handsome watches!!! :)

Wrong, there's at least 6 hidden mickeys in the pic. Nice watches though.

It’s a good looking watch, but it isn’t the best looking modern Rolex.
