Incoming: Aquanaut 5167

After analyzing the Pepsi Meteorite, the 5164 Travel Time, and trying on the 5524G Pilot Travel Time (a gorgeous watch that looked ridiculous on my puny wrist), I arrived by process of elimination at the redoubtable 5167. I don't travel much anymore so figured I could forego a travel feature.

I bought it from the secondary market, a beloved West Coast Trusted Seller. Yes, I know, I'm supporting the odious grey market. So shoot me. But I turn 70 shortly and can't wait five years for a retail purchase.

By the way, the wife thought it looks like a fancy Timex, but was fine with the purchase.

Finally, thanks to the inestimable help of Fat Ninja, whose PM was of great help.

Nice one! Sir Paul McCartney is also a 5167 wearer. You’re in good company!

The Aquanat is by far the best daily driver I've ever had. Congratulations dude. I am also an "idiot" who went grey.

Thanks, nyc2la and I hope to see you at the Beverly Hills GTG. I believe last time you wore a Patek.

gilluminati, I love it already. Hey, we are either traitors to the AD structure or the smartest guys in the room. I can keep it a secret from Mr. Stern if you can.

John-san I saw that in BH. Won't be able to make it since I have a conference that weekend already lined up. Should be a blast with some big players joining. You'll be there sporting the new Patek. Nice! Enjoy in good health.

Thanks, and I appreciate the appraisal. Although I'm not sure anyone will recognize the brand.

Awesome pick-up! Wearing mine as I type this. It gets by far the most wrist time of any of my watches these days. Happy early birthday gift

Lovely piece. Please enjoy and wear proudly. As an owner myself, there's something special about it, and it just feels wonderful on the wrist.

Thanks AK. At least when the wife said it looked like a fancy Timex she did say FANCY.

Wow, another owner. Yeah, it is so light compared to the Smurf that I can hardly feel it.

Thanks. It is definitely understated. Now I have a watch to wear in those bad areas people seem worried about.
