New Member!
Greetings from NYC! I have been browsing around this forum for about a month now and i have to say i enjoy this site as it is very imformative. I'm addicted to this site and i feel that i kinda know alot of you regulars with my reads!
A little about myself. I have a W series datejust which was given to me by my dad when he got himself a new one. I will treasure it and will forever be with me. Lately, I find my interest in watches get more frequent. I guess it is a new found passion of mine. I want to read and learn about watches. My other watches is a Cartier Santos Galbee (Very dressy, but don't wear it too much) and a Hamilton Navy which i enjoy wearing. Since High school, my buddy's brother had a submariner and its something i always wanted ever since. I just knew one day i would get one, but never tried. Maybe within the last 2 years, my interest started again and when my wife and i go shopping, I would wander into shops such as Torneau, Wempe etc..and always end up in either 2 sections. (Rolex and Alang & Sohne) I love Alang watches! (Maybe if i ever win the lottery) but more realistically i would end up where the sub is and trying it on.The Submariner to me is what Rolex is. The design is timeless, Understated and classy. Finally, Last week, my amazing wife had bought me the sub m serial from the local AD as a gift. I was ecstatic i told her not to never get me anything for Xmas and Birthday cuz this is all i wanted (unless its A Lang or a labrador retriever). The funny thing is, jokingly my wife says she regretting her gift to me, she says i'm making love to it more than her. |

Hi Kaizer,
Awesome intro and a very warm welcome. I know how you feel when it comes to watches especially Rolex, ask anyone here, "You won't stop at one". I can relate to you on the subject of the wife and watches My better half (love her dearly) can not work out the fetish I have with watches, and yes she calls it a fetish, over the past 15 years I've had many different Rolex, Tag and Omega watches come and go and have recently sold my sub date 16610 to a close friend and now have my first and favorite left, my DJ-TT.but a little birdie (Wife) has a GMT hidden but not getting that till Christmas lol talk about testing patience Anyhow Kaiser, wander around, join in and enjoy, you've come to a excellent place Cheers, Dave.
