I’m fond of polishing the acrylic on my vintage watches with polywatch and a very soft cloth. It’s almost become a daily ritual for whatever is on my wrist.

Can it be Too much? Any downside to polishing them frequently? To my knowledge none of the acrylic crystals are original, if that makes any difference

I doubt you can overpolish with polywatch or similar. However, I think you can with a polish wheel.

If none of the crystals are original then I don't see why not try.

I dont have any now but when i had some vintages, I used to cringe at the smallest hairline microscopic scratches....

I can see why sapphire took over..

Just like anything else, the more you polish it the thinner it gets until eventually it loses its rigidity and or strength. This would be bad when it comes to pressure testing.

The cyclops can definitely be polished too much, reducing the magnification or distorting the date.

Try to catch a sharp reflection off the acrylic. You'll know when you see it.
