What is the diameter of the visable dial
on the DD36 and the DD40?
Still trying to figure which one to get. |

Not sure but after owning the DD36 and moving to the DD40, it is definitely larger enough that it took some getting used to. I would say try both on if you can!

The visible dial on my Tudor bb36 is 30mm. By straight proportion, going from 36 to 40 would yield a visible dial of 30 x 40/36.

The first problem is not having an AD close enough to look at both together.
I have quite a few Rolex and Tudor watches. The Rolexs all have 40mm cases with a dial face of 30mm and the modern Tudors have 41mm cases with a dial face of 31mm. On an old Tudor Prince Oysterdate with a case of 37mm, that has a dial face of 31mm. That is why I am trying to find out what the difference is between the DD36 and the DD40. |

Most of the Rolex visible dials are 30mm but the bezels vary in width. The newest models, such as the 39mm models, the Milguass, etc., have larger faces.
I am unable to measure the invisible dials.
