Have to agree should have seen my working tool watch SD after around 600 hours underwater well used and sometimes abused. Scratches dings are a fact of wearing any watch but easily rectified at normal routine service.

+1 I managed to put a small ding on my SUB on a similar place (pic to follow).
Just remember it can be fixed.

My blnr is my daily and it has some marks like that. It happens. Just don’t let it bother you, and an experienced watchmaker should be able to make it look new again when you send it in for service if you choose to polish it.

It's a tool watch (an expensive one at that) so wear it as it is :)

This is a “tool watch” No worries OP like the others said they will fix that when you send it in for service. Meanwhile try not to look at it as best you can and remember if it bothers you that much you can always send it in right now.

It's a rough and tumble world out there.
Life is full of bumps and bruises and a few dings here and there. Congratulations! Your watch is now unique. To paraphrase "The Rifleman's Creed." "This is my Sub. There are many like it, but this one is mine."

Oof; I feel your pain. The same exact thing happened to my SubC Date just a few weeks ago as well, on one the opposite lugs. But life moves on I guess!

That sucks.
You could wear it on your right wrist for awhile.

It’s all good. It’s the reason your watch is made of steel, so it can withstand everyday bumps, scrapes and nicks. Several more blemishes and it’ll start to look like a watch you lovingly wore for a long period of time, like it should. Enjoy the journey!

It happens partly because Rolex can no longer be bothered to produce chamfered cases, which help prevent that kind of ding.

Looks brand new to my 114060 that thing is beat to shit. It’s been on every tech dive, night dive and cave dive and has many marks to show for it. It’s a tool watch, move on brother!
