Hi guys..

Well, as some may know. I got my self a black 16613, 14 days ago.

It's really a killer watch. but!
After a few days i realized that i needed a beater watch.
I just did'nt want to put my sub with gold polished links, thru the dayli stress. And it also felt odd wearing it with crappy clothes.

After some searching, the choice was clear. Omega PO 42mm.
Omega has a great history, quality, the caliber 2500....so i went for it.

Another reason for choosing the PO over, say a 14060 sub, is that i wanted to "upgrade" my weekends, and slipping on my 16613.

Any way, here it is, alone and side by side with my 16613.

Same here......sold off two other SMP before realizing that Omega is not Rolex, but still a really great beater. So, I had to get a third.....hopefully I can keep this one around longer.

Nice choice(s). After I bought my first Rolex, a TT yachtmaster, I decided I needed a beater also, and my seiko just didn't cut it, so I got a TT DateJust. Then I thought, oh crap! That's too nice for a beater, so I got a SS DateJust. Yup, you guessed it, once again I thought, oh crap! So now I'm looking to get a GMT-IIc for a beater. Yeah yeah, I know, I know....

GMTIIc is my beater... in reality it beats everything else around it

The PO is a fantastic watch, I think the 42mm size was a good choice also, congrats.

Agree.....But i wanted a to feel a difference when chancing watches.
two of the same would be just at litte too much i think.

I really like the orange bezel 42mm PO, fully intended to get one until I got sidetracked by a used Rolex.

Personally cannot stand the term beater for any watch from any brand, most mechanical watches today can be used as a daily wear.

Here is a beater watch from Timefactors with A.Schild SA a excellent swiss 21 jewel automatic, calibre 5206 movement.

To me, a beater is something i dont care about being USED. Scratches, dings etc.

Just dont feel like putting my 16613 thru that, despite it can handle it with EASE.

Wow, my beater is a Timex Ironman which I use for bicycling. Obviously are ideas on what constitute a beater watch is different. LOL!!!
