Trading Sub C for Coke or Batman?

I have had a Sub Date C for a while but feeling it being too blend. Thinking about trading it for a Coke (2001-2005) or a Batman with usd2,000 extra. What do you guys think?

I would keep the subC it’s a classic piece. I have a few pieces and am now looking to potentially add a subC no date at some point

I'd look for a good example coke, they don't make 'em anymore. Very versatile watch with the different bezel inserts. I had a black SubC date since 2010 and fell out of love with it. Traded it in for a Daytona this year. SubC will get movement upgrade but I think that's it. You can buy one again down the road if you miss it too much.

Find yourself a nice "Coke" GMT II and you won't look back. This is a true "classic" and will be vintage within a decade or so.

I personally much prefer the BLNR. Also to go from the feel, quality and dimensions of the SUBC, you might feel the Coke a bit rattly and not nearly as substantial as your sub.

However I’d be really surprised if you could go from a SUBC to a BLNR for anywhere near 2k...I’d guess nearer 4K if you have an offer to change to a BLNR for 2k I’d do it 100%

Good luck either way.

Agree with this statement. I’m looking at doing the same currently with an older carded 114060 and it’s looking closer to 6k.

That’s not a 2001-2005....it’s even better tritium dial, fat font insert. I have one just like it from 1991. Way better than any ceramic sub

I have all three, going from a Subc to a 5 digit Gmtll is a big difference in size and weight where the Blnr has near perfect proportions for a 6 digit piece, substantial on your wrist as well. Both are winners. If I had to choose one to wear everyday I'd have to give the edge to the Batman, you should be able to find one for @13k. Good Coke 10-12k.

I really don’t think those other watches are any more exciting than LNs in real life wrist wear. In photos they seem a lot different, but really all are black dial Rolex sports watches with more or less the same dial. If you want exciting go LVc. The LNc is plenty exciting for me though
