Purplish hue still on the BLRO?

Good day all!

This, just picked up yesterday, and to my surprise has a very purple looking bezel - unless my eyes are deceiving me.
I seldom buy anything in modern anymore, so forgive me if I am wrong, but I thought this only existed in the earlier “Mk 1s”?

Either way, it looks stellar.
Comes off as black in some lighting..

Love to see close ups of gents that picked theirs up this week!
Have a wonderful week ahead!

Congrats! In that light, the blue does have a noticeably purple hue but it seems that this bezel has a broad color range depending on the lighting conditions. I picked mine up two weeks ago and notice more of a darker hue but again lighting seems to be a factor in the appearance.

When i first got my BLNR years back I found that the blue of the bezel went from a bright blue to almost black depending on the light. It may be a hallmark of the material as well.

Regardless - enjoy your new watch!

in your pics it looks like a MK1 bezel... including the red color. can you take a few shots in normal indoor lighting? curious if this is a MK1... maybe AD had it hoarded away in the safe?

Nice watch. The blue and red on mine are much darker. Your watch does look like one of the earlier ones. I wonder if every batch they make are different. I bought mine in October.

Hey.
Do these help?
I don’t believe (or at least I don’t think) that it was stashed away at the AD.
I paid in full and had to wait around 10 months.
I don’t know if it is previous stock on the bezel, or if rolex just keeps changing it up and the coloring are inconsistent, but it’s not a vibrant blue for sure.

Rolex should call this model PRRO not BLRO. It's not you, you're seeing well. It's purple.

Perhaps you have a cross between the so called Mk1 Mk2,Mk3, with a little bit of Mk4 or is it Mk5, just enjoy your watch all the Mk stuff only exists in internet forum land.

Padi, this bezel is *clearly* variant 847/Z from bin 98385. I'm surprised you couldn't identify it immediately.

Lol. They all look blurple too me. An unattractive color for a watch bezel to my eyes. Now the older 16710s and earlier model BLROs and BLNRs have pleasing blue hues to my eyes. I’ll never own a current BLRO. You guys are going to have to review your Roman numerals. You’ll be going through them quickly as every batch will be a new mark of blurple.

That definitely looks purplish. As some others mentioned, lighting plays a big role. I hope Rolex can finally one day get the colours right.

I think the big diff is that the purple used to be very very light and the red very pink. Now it’s about more Concord grape and raspberry.

I picked mine up 2 months ago and it looks just like yours. Deep red color and deep blue that almost looks black in most lighting conditions. I kind of cared at first but not anymore. Just happy to get the call.

Congrats! It does look purple in your pic. I've seen so many different hues on the Blro and heard there are 3 different variations. Enjoy!!...

Everyone I have handled has that purple/pinkish since it’s initial release. It is what it is. There have maybe been some slight tweaks but not enough to change its hue significantly.

Looks great, congrats. It's gone from lighter to darker purple. Expect deep purple in next iteration and smoke on the water. Still waiting for mine.
