Rolex 14060M 4 liners. Engraved rehaut & between lugs?

I have a June 2012 14060M 4 Line Submariner (possibly one of the last sold) and had always thought that these had the serial number engraved in 2 areas, at the 6PM edge of the rehaut AND between the lugs at 6PM too.

I removed the bracelet last night to try the watch on a NATO strap and found that there was actually no engraving between the lugs.

Can anyone else with a similar aged 14060M let me know whether there is a Serial number in both or just one area. The serial number on the watch starts with a G144###.

Both single letter G and random serials were running in the same time frame mid to the latter part of 2010 when randoms were first introduced. There is no real 100% cut off time frame for serial rehaut only, now some V serials had rehaut only, but all G and randoms from 2010 on will have serial on rehaut only.

Thanks for this piece of useful information.

Am I right in thinking that random serial numbers have 8 digits rather than 7?

Correct all randoms total 8 digits mixture letters numbers, G was the last of the single letter 6 numbers.

I have a V048 Serial GMT with both rehaut and between the lugs serial engravings if that helps out anything.

How do you know in "June" ? Even Rolex serial numbers can't be traced to the exact year !
