Addiction
I have 2 addictions:
1: Following this forum like crazy. Morning, afternoon, evening, at night, sometimes middle of the night, office breaks and more... 2: Inspite of having 2 watches, mind is wandering to get more.. not contained. BTW I’m really happy with my watches. Why? I’m sure I’m not the only one with this problem. Any idea to overcome this?

Addiction
Unfortunately you probably have the personality for collecting as many here do as well.
Having this forum on your phone is akin to an alcoholic having a still in his backpack.

It’s hard man. Really really try and take a break from it. We all get obsessed with the next piece and building a collection often forget to enjoy the pieces we have. Taking some time off allows that

I find the easiest way to overcome the Rolex watch addiction is to focus on another addiction.
Whenever I think I am spending too much time on The Rolex Forum thinking about watches, I move onto one of my Porsche forums, home theater forums, camera forums, travel forums... ![]() |

I like this forum too.
And I find myself reading and looking at watches a lot of the time. I enjoy it and see no harm. I used to do that with cars too. |

Meh.
You can't lose your license or job for watches. |

I think the key is to focus on what you actually NEED versus what you WANT. With my Explorer + Sub combo I really only see myself needing one more high-end watch, a dressier piece I can wear on leather straps. I can't imagine needing more than that. Now, do I love to sit and look at everyone's watch pics all day? Absolutely I do.
Perhaps my perspective would change if I were independently wealthy, which I am not.

Agree If I was wealthy I might have a bunch of watches. For now I’m enamored with the idea of having one watch till I die. Having it wear with time, like I do. Wearing it for everything. ![]() |

I found that time away from both the forum and Instagram gave me a healthier relation ship to my watches
Gotta enjoy what you have rather than chasing the next one But it’s hard

It's impossible to collect everything. Just get a few pieces that you really like and enjoy them.

I had the same issue I was addicted all day for a few months. Then just like that it went away. I stayed off for awhile and didn’t even think about watches. I just now started to get back on again
