Incoming!!!

A huge incoming for me this time around as it's my first PM watch, a complete calendar with moonphase and the "watchmaker's watch".

For the last couple of years I have been eying for an annual calendar/perpetual calendar with a reasonable budget, that is modest compared to the holy trinity brands. I stumbled upon some brands through window shopping as well as some brands that fellow TRF'ers have suggested and those included: Longines, Montblanc, etc...

I took my time for sure, as I really wanted a brand that would be affordable, yet was rich in history. Did further research and saw that JLC had a complete calendar, not an annual calendar however. I then went to the shop and tried it on, both in pink gold and steel. Both dials were silver colored and had a nice pop, however a bit 'old school' for my taste.

About a month ago, a close friend of mine hooked me up in getting this exact same piece but with the meteorite dial. I had previously posted some questions in previous threads about this particular piece and was blown away by how beautiful the dial was and also the uniqueness of the gray meteorite dial on the pink gold case. Many other brands have meteorite dials and they are usually silvery in color, this one has a coating and learned from fellow members that it was a limited run of about 300?

It's a 2015 SIHH model if I don't mistakenly recall, but this one is brand new with all stickers on it and dated yesterday on the card. I'm so happy as I will be getting the 8 year warranty on it which will give me peace in mind. I know that JLC movements are marvelous and so far, there's nothing for me to complain.

It's very hard to catch a good shot of the watch, particularly the dial. I can tell how pictures cannot do justice to this watch. All I can say is that I am super excited to be able to get a model that is no longer available at an AD. If you're wondering, they only had the PM version of the watch. The watch comes with a dark brown alligator strap which matches perfectly with the pink gold case. In pictures, I thought it was going to come with a black one, which I think would not match it as well. The only complain I would have is that I wish it had a fourth pusher at the 10 o'clock position for the day of the week.

What else can I ask for right?

Incoming!!!

This is pure class love the rose gold with dark dial. The dial is special, like Grand Seiko dial.

Wow, wow and wow. Huge congratulations and cheesy though it may sound, on your first PM piece. If you've drank the precious metal koolaid, there's something super special about them. May you wear it in good health and have it for a long time. Cheers.
