Yes champagne. Although I could go for a white dial 118238 too. Idk which one I will buy, depends on the inventory of my AD. They are a smaller family owned one.

I prefer champagne in the 40mm size. The classic. Deconstructed Romans or Champagne Indices are a toss up and it would be hard to choose one over the other.

Have you had the champagne? Because that's what I thought before the impulse buy, but legibility has not been an issue whatsoever. I am relatively young with good eyesight, however, so YMMV, but if you have not tried it don't let it deter you. Taste is another matter entirely.

Ordered my 40mm DD, champagne, diamond markers 4 months ago. Still waiting ;-(. Agree it's the most beautiful, classic DD.

As I have gotten old, sadly I have to agree with you, everything looks gold

In fact I sent my gold dial 118238 back to Rolex for them to change the dial to silver, with the black on white disc/date.

Just had the nod from my AD, saying that it is now back after the change and service, so keenly looking forward to seeing it.

In your combination of gold numerals on a white background, it looks superb.

I had a white dial with batons and though readability was fantastic, I just thought that the combination was too sterile.
