Expy II - Black or White

The Expy II is on my short list of watches to acquire sometime in the future. I had been leaning towards the white dial because there are so many SS models that are standard with black dials (Sub, SD, GMT). I also saw some listings where they indicated that the white dial is the more "desirable" of the dials and harder to find.

I just recently saw a FS post with a really sharp black dial and am now imagining it on a black calf skin strap too. I find myself now leaning towards the black dial.

Both are sharp, but I find the black face a little better looking. It's close, though. Put one on each wrist and I think your choice will be easy.

I already have at least 12 other watches with Black dials, so I went with this one

White, it's unique and a great departure from norm.

I'd buy the white dial ExpII. It looks great and believe it would look good on a black leather band as well!!!

I owned a white Expy II for a short period of time, I just could not warm up to it. I love the look of the white, but it's just not for me I guess. They are both great looking watches, but in the end, I think I prefer the black dial. The cool thing about the white is it is just so different than any other sport model Rolex offers. The funny thing is, I actually miss my old white Explorer II, yet I didn't really care for it when I owned one, totally confusing. This is a tough decision, you will probably be happy with either choice, best of luck.

My old Explorer II

The black Exp II is so classy, but if you already have black watches the crisp white dial makes such a refreshing change.

I love mine

Not sure why but the white EXP II is one of my favorite Rolex and the black does nothing for me.

Definitely white! In my opinion, unlike the Sub and GMT, the Explorer II doesn't look so good with a black bezel to me because of the huge contrast between the dial and the silver bezel.
