2 for 1 Trade

My friend is thinking about trading his ND SubC + Omega Speedmaster Professional for a two toned Daytona with a champagne dial. Would you make this trade?

edit: I should not that the sub and the speedy are his only watches

If he loves the two toned Daytona, then why not? The SubC and Speedmaster can easily be replaced.

Only if he is ok with having TT Rolex for everyday wear. Unless he has some other pieces to rotate then yeah why not. Spice up your life with some TT.

Value wise, they're about equal. If he loves the Daytona and doesn't want to spend extra money, I don't see why he shouldn't make the trade.

Depending upon the age & condition of the watches, the deal, cash-value wise, could go either way, but is definitely in the ballpark. If he really wants the TT Daytona, then the deal seems OK to me. (Personally, I would not make that trade b/c that particular Daytona does not speak to me & I would miss the SubC and Speedy Pro (which I wear on a brown leather strap) too much.)

Only if he really like that Daytona. Most people would pass on it, so if he wanted to swap/trade in the future, he'd really have to discount it.

No.

Sell the SeaMaster, keep the Sub and save to buy the TT.

If the Daytona will get more wrist time than the other two, then why not?

I wouldn’t. I like a TT Daytona, but I wouldn’t want it as my one and only

Daytona isn't MY thing so I wouldn't do it. But then that's me, not your friend.

It's up to him. If he prefers the Daytona, sure. I personally wouldn't make that swap, as I can't picture myself wearing a TT/Champagne dial watch every day.
