Can only have two....
Hi All,
I’ve made the decision to cut my collection to just two watches. Which of the following would you choose to keep? 216570 Polar Explorer II 126600 SD43 126711 TT CHNR Would it be redundant to keep two black dial watches? Or would you choose to pair the Polar Explorer II with one of the others? Appreciate your thoughts and insights! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

As much as I love it, I'd dump the Polar.
You could probably pivot the Polar and the CHNR into a Daytona though. Not sure if this would be up your alley. |

For the 2nd, I would keep the CHNR. The root beer colour scheme is unique and it would be more versatile. The SD43 black can be picked up in the future. Rolex will always have a black dial diver watch.

The best answer is probably to keep the two you enjoy the most.
If it were me, though, I think I'd dump the polar- you should be able to get close to retail for it. The SD43 fills the "everyday wear" category and has a better movement, ceramic bezel, not to mention they really nailed the case size and shape, as well as the dial with the throwback red lettering. Nothing against the explorer 2- but it's definitely more "dated" compared to your other two watches- the SD43 and root beer are stunners. The good news is you can't really make a bad choice- they're all great. |

I would keep the SD43 and either gmt or explorer II goes. Then I would have one diver, and one two time zone watch.

Why are you getting rid of them. Financial, or getting ready for a big Basel world let down
I didn’t think that TT CHNR would stay hot very long. Just another GMT with a black face. |

I would keep the SD43 and the Polar. Long term classics. To me, I think the CHNR is too trendy - flame suit on, but I don’t think the brown is going to date well.

I wouldn’t worry about white/black combination or black/black so much.
Just pIck your least favorite one to let go. I would keep the SD43 and CHNR. |

You have two GMT watches. One diver. Are you trying to maximize versatility or redundancy?
I’m not a TT fan so never would have bought the CHNR. But since you have it, I think the CHNR and the SD43 is what you keep. I like the Polar but it’s a another SS sports watch and the SD has that category covered. |

The SD43 is too large on a 7” wrist. I tried to love it but the reality is, we can’t pull them off with 7” wrists.

Oof, tough choice...I think I'd have to ditch the Polar here. It's a great watch, but it loses a close battle to the SD43. CHNR is definitely a keeper though.

I’m not a huge fan of the TT Chnr so for me it would be an easy decision to part with it. Interestingly for a full RG Chnr id part with all three of the above.

I'd ship the Chnr, keep the SD and Polar. I just can't do any TT. I was offered and tried on the Chnr at my AD. It looked good, didn't sing though. I tried to love it but I knew it wouldnt last with me. I have a Blnr and the Polar so I'm also biased.

For what it's worth, I also have three rolexes and they are the same exact ones you listed.
Got the polar as my first one back in 2012 when it first came out. Was thinking I was just going to get one for life so wanted a versatile one - white dial can go decent with suits as well as casual. Had to choose between black gmt, black sub and polar. Value wise I know I didn't make the right choice but I still love the polar over both of them. Lucked out and got the other two last year after the typical chase.. I am keeping all three as they all complement each other well. Black diver for everyday. White dial for business casual. Two tone and brown for some added luxury. Though realistically any 6 digit these days will look luxurious and good with anything. Gun to my head and I had to let go of one, I'd let go of the root beer. Because as it's two tone I'd wear it less than steel, it has more trade value than other two, and I'd prefer a Pepsi jubilee or blue dial wg as my GMT. If I had to let go of another it would be the polar, can get a white dial Daytona or datejust one day to be the dressier one. SD43 is the best diver out there imho at the moment. Hard to upgrade this one. Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk |

Although I like the 216570, bye bye. Keep the other two.
