I think both are great looking watches. It just depends on your attire. If business professional to business casual i would pick DD. If casual dress i would pick GMT.

They’re both beautiful watches to be honest, but are completely different watches.

Try them on and see which one you like best, which one fits your personality best?

Are you a sporty guy or a dress up guy?

Do you travel a lot and need the gmt function?

Or are you mostly at the office or in meetings in suits?

Stuff like that.

I don’t wear much suits anymore those days are done. Mainly wearing pants shorts more on casual

I think both watches are great for that look as well.

I would then pick on whether or not you want the gmt function.

Or which bracelet you prefer.

The gmt bracelet will have more on the fly adjustability than the DD so that’s something to consider too.

DD40 Olive. I like both, but that DD is so good.

It depends on what you prefer, don't get one and then wish you'd got the other.

DD that color just a fad that will become unpopular as time goes by. Rose gold on men

A matter of personal preference as both watches are very nice. Classic DD if you want more subdued. Rootbeer for more wrist presence. On this one it would be the Root Beer for me.

Tough one as they are two very different wearing references. Both have a lot of wrist presence with the edge going to the GMT. GMT wears larger and has the easy link for adjustability which I can’t be without.

I’d go GMT in this case mainly because it suits my casual style

It depends what else is in the collection. I have one (CHNR), and covet the other. To me, you cannot go wrong. If the answer is one or the other, and it is the only watch, I do not think you would want a green dial as your only watch. The DD is more versatile as a style of watch. However, color-wise the CHNR wins on “practicality”

The only thing that matters is what you want to own and wear its that simple and no Rolex watch is better than any other Rolex.

Yeah...like Peter said, there's no better...just what you like.

I prefer the olive in WG on the DD, so this is what I like.

Both are solid gold pieces, so I think it's a tie. Even though One is a sports watch, one is a dress watch, still a gold piece to me. If either piece isn't already talking to you then flip a coin.

DD if it was my money, timeless classic. The CHNR is lovely but it's trying too hard imho.

I would recommend the DD40 and pick up a stainless sport watch to compliment it.

Thank you. I think it’s suits my attire more than a DD40.
