Rolex submariner missing from the official Rolex Instagram page!

Well...

I don't know if it necessarily means something but the submariner is missing from the main categories of the official Rolex Instagram page. However, It still appears on their official website.

Let's see

https://www.instagram.com/rolex/

I’m not going to lie, that’s the most convincing evidence to me, that the sub is getting a rehaul in someway. Obviously as long as it’s not a glitch and back up by day’s end. We live in the world of IG and this would be one of the first places they announce along with the official website.

Maybe Rolex is dropping the Submariner from their lineup. Such an insignificant model anyway.

Is Rolex supposed to put every single model, or potential model, in every media platform that they advertise in

Same models weren't there in November 2018 either. Interesting observation, but sadly, this seems meaningless.

From what I can tell, there are only 10 models highlighted.
Perhaps there is a limit to do this on IG?
Also, the Explorer's and Airking are not represented, while their last post was the Airking.

I think this is just a coincidence that the Submariner isn't represented ;)

Good catch! I didn’t notice the explorer missing. You could definitely be right

Although it would be logical they get a movement update, considering many models have been getting them.
Just don't know if they will go ahead with it now, considering where most economies in the world are heading. Maybe postpone it?

On the other hand, the sub/exporer/airking are the three most discussed watches to get an update this year (or even be discontinued in the case of the airking). So, might not be a coincidence. Especially, when you see they use two categories for the daytonas.

Explorer with ceramic bezel anyone?

Sub has to be up next for a new movement, nothing is more modern Rolex than the Sub.

What sense does a plain ceramic bezel make?

I would read into that too much.
The AirKing being heavily featured does seem like a deliberate choice, though what it means is beyond me.

Those are not “sections.” The are “stories.” They come and go. Wouldn’t read too much into it.

Aren't they limited to showing a maximum of 10 at a time by Instagram? Perhaps that’s the reason.

No, I am not talking about stories.

I am talking about highlights.

The number of highlights that can be posted on a wall is UNLIMITED.

However, the submariner, the explorer II, and the airking are not there.

It can't be a coincidence. Each one of the highlights they have posted refers to a specific model and leads to many photos, info and their website too.

It has been my observation that these omissions portend nothing.

I heard from my AD the Sub is maintaining the mandatory 6' distance, even on social media. The sub worries if it catches the virus it will go from -2 sec /day to -2.5 seconds/ day and then be sent off to RSC to be around all of those other exposed Subs and accuracy may fall to +4 / -6 specs. Poor sub.
