White gold Daytona 116509

Dear All
What are your thoughts on white gold Daytona 116509 blue dial
AD has it and sitting in case for a while
Can you expect a good discount on this particular model in current market ??

It’s a lot of money for a watch !!

Worth it ??

I’m a sucker for a blue dial. This combo is stunning. Worth a shot asking for a break on the price.

So u think 20% off or 10K off is possible?
I knows it’s sitting there for at least 3-4 months now

10% is a reasonable ask and I would try to bundle it with a sought after SS piece if you can. BLRO and SS Daytona still a solid buy at MSRP. Easy sales for both models at the right price and knocks down your overall cost on the WG Daytona if you sell one of them.

Personally, I love how the blue dial contrasts with the steel bezel. Gorgeous watch!

I have the steel dial version of the same watch. Full bracelet not the oyster flex. As PM watches go the Daytona is very comfortable to wear everyday

It won’t disappoint

Discount is unlikely but push for it.
You may just get one if it’s been sitting

View Poll Results: Which Dial Would You Choose?
Daytona 116509LN Steel Dial 46 35.66%
Daytona 116509LN Blue Dial 83 64.34%
Neither, I'm a hockey puck, and don't like WG. 0 0%
Voters: 129.

My recent poll revealed the Blue Dial as the more popular of the two WG options.

I would expect that you could get a drop of 6-7%, just ask.

At the risk of sounding really stupid, in this context, what does “I’m a hockey puck,.......” mean?

Not stupid! The man on my avatar was well known comedian AKA "Mr. Warmth"

The "Hockey Puck" was one of his most famous lines!

OK, thanks for this.

Having never heard of Mr Warmth, why would a hockey puck not like white gold?

It is a great watch and the dial is amazing. If the AD has had it for some time, decide if you want it and if you do, go talk to the AD. I would ask for more than 10% initially as they will work you down or say no discount at all. If you do not get what you would like then ask them what they can do for you and just see what they say. Once they tell you what it is hopefully it will be right. If not, then tell them what you will do and walk. You may not get out of the store or you will get a call or a text within hours to days, maybe. In the end you will be no worse off as you are the buyer in a world of sellers. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

The world is changing, I’d ask for material discount. It’s gold and they paid a lot for it. I’d ask for 28k and maybe pay 30-31. My guess is that trades for 23-25 secondary when reality sinks in. I hope I’m wrong btw

28K sounds right to me for this watch. Frankly, I would not be a buyer of watches at the moment. If all this continues through the summer, there will be few people left standing economically and you may have other priorities for your cash.
