Anyone got phone call, txt, or email from NYC Tourneau for deposit for ur long waited piece?

Not for deposit. I got a call saying id be guaranteed a pepsi this year if i buy a datejust. I declined. It’s ridiculous. I wouldn’t give into their games. Although i would give a deposit as i did before, if there weren’t any economical uncertainty hovering around everywhere.

I would be all over that ! Now if asking you to buy a day date , that’s a different story.

If they are asking for a deposit but without stock, during this lockdown and Rolex HQ shutdown, sounds like not a fair deal at all.

And who knows the deposit will be used to fund whatever expenses they may have during this lockdown.

I did get a call that my Sub no date and my Expolrer 1 have come in. I placed the 50% on both pieces. Ill be able to pick it up once they reopen.

I have been emailing with my the manager of Tourneau where I have bought multiple Panerai and my SD43. The store is closed and she mentioned nothing about shipments, deposits, or waitlists.

I put 50% on a no date sub. First time I;m doing this with Tourneau. Indeed the transaction goes through the concierge service but I was first contacted by my sales person at the NYC Time Machine store. The watch will be shipped when the store opens. Just the week before things got ugly and the store closed, I got a Hulk which I was waiting on for over a year. I can understand that times are tough and they may need the cashflow, but I had no reason to be suspicious. I have been a Tourneau NYC client for many years and I have been treated well. Basically every Rolex I wanted I have gotten with a bit of patience (2 Daytonas, Pepsi, Rootbeer and now the Hulk and no-date Sub) I also got a Calatrava Pilot 5522A NYC Limited Edition a few years ago and have purchased many pre-owned pieces from them. If you are a good customer, they will deliver in the end.
