If you have a choice?
If you have a choice, would you rather your Rolex come in that original transparent plastic box from Rolex Factory and the "Rolex" box separately or would you rather be serviced by a sales person handling your new rolex and put it in the Rolex box for you after purchase? Which would you prefer?

I have mine delivered in the plastic case like this:
With a green box on the side, so I can build my pyramid higher. |

I'd prefer the plastic factory case, but it's not a deal breaker. I'd _not_ want the watch to be repolished by the AD before I buy - that's my job, when I get home! |

I didn't even know there was the option. I would be happy with either as the Rolex is what I am truly after anyway.

It's not really an option. If the AD has new stock and not yet displayed in the showcase. That's the standard packaging from the factory. I guess if you have special orders and is good friends with your AD. They will leave the watch in the standard packaging for you just like what my AD is going to do for me.

I wouldn't even know what to do with the plastic containers, I would probably throw them away like the bezel protectors, if it's plastic, it's garbage in my mind. I am fine with the nice green box, but those are just dust collectors in the closet anyway.

For me it doesn't matter at all how it comes. I buy the watch and then wear it and do not worry about whether some one else has handled the watch or not. They are meant to be used and worn and as such will eventually show signs of wear!!!
