Where to buy during quarantine?
Looking to buy a new Rolex as a gift.
Unfortunately, ADs are closed during the quarantine, and the west coast isn't opening up soon enough for my required time frame, i.e. within 2 weeks. Looking on the grey market now. Any recommendations as to whom I can trust to source a Datejust 31? Thanks. |

Did you check here on the sales forum? I bought a couple private seller pieces off Chrono 24, your funds are held in escrow until you recieve and approve your purchase. If you buy be cautious of using USPS shipping right now, they are understaffed and I've been hearing many stories of big delays and losses, me included.

Internet seller, what if you found out that you bought a watch that was worn by the deceased?
Will it scare your butt off especially when the watch sitting there at night alone, remember The Conjuring? |

The problem is, the watch might be perceived to bring bad luck. Plus, the corona virus can resort on the watch and the only way to clean it is by washing it with Lysol or U
Would you be proud to tell that the Rolex was worn by a victim in pandemic? |

AD’s in TX are open, and the boutiques are too. I know my AD is reluctant to ship to someone they don’t know, but that may be specific to SS Sport models. People aren’t flipping 31mm DJ’s for big profits. My AD is Deutsch Houston. They have several locations around TX and own the Rolex boutique in Houston. Might as well give them a call and see what they’ll do.
Not to make this a really long response but... The AD Deutsch is in a strip center and was able to open before the Boutique in the Galleria Mall. While the AD was open and the Boutique closed, the Boutique’s inventory was sent to the AD and several Boutique employees went to the AD to work. The AD and Boutique normally operate completely separately and don’t share inventory or employees. I called my sales person on Friday to check on a watch I am waiting for and asked about the inventory the Boutique had brought over... she said it was a few PM’s and a lot of DJ’s. So now that the Boutique is open again this may be a great spot for you to target as they may be stock full of DJ’s they want to move. |

You might want to check with your AD. I know some ADs near me that are doing "curbside pick up".

You should be able to source this watch from an AD who is open and will ship it to you. Stores are open in Ga and SC.
