President Bracelet Legit Check Please Help!
Hello TRF, looking to purchase the president bracelet below for an 1803, it comes with 53 end links and the president bracelet/clasp. I had a couple questions as well:
They told me older versions of this bracelet does not have 8385 markings on it is this true? It is 5 7/8" is that too short once it is attached to the watch? I need it to fit a 7" wrist. Thanks and any feedback is appreciated. |

It should fit a 7” wrist but you’ll be at the edge of comfort perhaps. You’ll need an extra link if your wrist size expands at some times of the year.

Missing reference number + missing hallmarks + shallow/incomplete "Rolex S.A" stamping + questionable clasp welds = hard pass for me. YMMV...

No hallmarks for an 18K bracelet? Red Flag! I call non-genuine.

Its a small local jeweler that is selling it, claims older president bracelets don't have markings on it. I probably won't be able to take photos of the screws and links unless I ask but not sure if they are willing to do it. Thanks again! |

I know there were bracelets with missing hallmarks, but just wasn't aware of them with missing reference numbers as well. The ones with missing hallmarks I've seen had the flat-bottom clasp coronet. The other thing that I am not too keen on is the quality of the clasp welds. That said, it could be OK but it would just be a pass for me. I would personally want one with all of the proper markings intact, and for an 1803, I would probably seek out one with the older style clasp coronet. I suppose the price could sway me, if aggressive enough (and everything else checked out). YMMV... |

Hmmmm, there should be screws with a hidden clasp. Some very early president bracelets had pins instead of screws but those had full clasps.
That thing looks brand new and 53 end links are for the 1803 which ended production in the 70s. It looks way too good. Sleeves didnt come around until the later solid link bracelets so the seller is correct there. How much was the seller asking? Should have been well over $5 grand in that condition.
