First Rolex for small wrist recommendations?

Planning to get my first Rolex and was wondering what are some good options for an entry Rolex for small wrists?

I've been looking into the Speedking, OP Date, or maybe the Datejust, but the Datejust seems like the demand and price are high so were leaning towards the Speedking or the OP. Would love some thoughts and guidance.

The OP 114300 is a great buy and the 39mm size is perfect. If you really want smaller, a Rolex precision is a good bargain as well.

Is the Speedking an older Rolex model? OP Date, I think has not been produced for years. Maybe the vintage section of this forum will attract the most responses.

Regarding size, I think 34MM to 36MM is traditional men's watch size and appropriate for any man's wrist size. The watches of 40MM or larger size I think are for diving or to make a fashion statement.

That might have been true before the 1980s, but I doubt that is true today.

I didn't realize there was a vintage section, but will definitely check that out. I'm looking into buying used as an entry Rolex. 34-36mm sounds perfect.

How small is your wrist - you don’t say? I have a 6¾ inch but flat wrist, and a modern Submariner is perfect.

I have 6 in wrist and own a Tudor Black Bay 36 and feel like the 36mm is either perfectly sized but I could even go smaller.

For my first Rolex I would opt for a new one not used.
The stress that comes with an old or vintage one is more than I can take.
I would save and get it brand new from AD.
For your wrist, nothing will beat a 36mm DJ fluted bezel.

I have a 6.3 in wrist and the lugs on the Sub overhang. I have a datejust 36 and its a perfect fit. I would try on the OP 34 and 36. Both look great on my small wrist. I also prefer when the lugs on my watch don’t overhang... The cases on Rolex sport/professional watches are flat as opposed to curved and seem to wear big.

Try a 5 digit sub. I have a somewhat small wrist and the size is great.

I had no idea the 5 digit subs are slightly smaller.
If I ever want a sub down the line I'll keep this in mind - thanks!

36mm Oyster Perpetual or Datejust, I tried both on recently and they are both spectacular. I'm leaning toward the OP for the brushed bracelet. I have also tried the OP39 in the past, and it wore surprisingly well but the 36 seems to fit my wrist the way I like better. My wrist is 6.75ish

OP36 or OP34 would be good choices for smaller wrists, or just anybody who likes them. Large or small, doesn’t matter, just wear what you like. I wear an OP34 and a 45mm watch, too. I have small wrists. I like them both.

Given what I have further read from your responses, I will stick to the OP recommendation, either 36 or maybe even 34 if you have a 6" wrist. They both come with stunning white dial options. A white dial 36mm OP is likely what I will go with next, but if I find an excellent condition vintage Datejust (I'm picky) I may take that first.

The OP 36 wears ever so slightly larger than the new DJ because if the slightly wider lugs, but to me either one were right. If you can, give the 34mm OP a try.

I'll also say that I did not care for the look or proportions of the 36mm OP in most photos, but as soon as I tried one on, it was perfect. Pictures can be deceiving.

From the choices you listed, speedking, OP date or date just they can all be purchased in the same price ranges and available in size from 30mm to 34mm. When you say Date just demand and price is too high, seems you are not considering the 36mm sized date-just. So if you want to stay under 36mm then I would suggest 34 mm 15210 Oyster perpetual date, Many dial choices including very handsome blue stick dial. 14208 18k gold 34mm stunning no date oyster perpetual, and 114200 34mm OP no date with very cool 3 6 9 dial.
