Are Yacht-master 40 usually in the display?
It’s been August 2019 since I was last in an AD but I reached out to the one I got my sub from and said I was interested in a 126622 in dark rhodium. The sales rep said he’d look out for one for me. I left it at that but really should have asked about waitlists...although he didn’t mention any of that.
How long did any of you 126622 wearers wait? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They are and thats the awesome thing about them. a lot less games to get one and they are just as amazing as any other model. One of the things thats so nice about buying a watch is seeing one in the window and being able to try it on and purchase....the way it used to be...

They are more rare than Daytonas and subs BUT they don't have the hysteria and wait lists. I got mine(blue) last week and am happy I got the 3235 internals.
The pictures do NOT do this watch justice. The outside of the bezel shimmers and the platinum reflects light much differently than the stainless. Also, the case design is worth the cost of entry by itself. The way it wears is vastly superior to a super case. |

There were a few in the display at my AD recently. Nice looking watch. My favorite of the 6 digit sports watches.

Unfortunately, no AD's around me had a 37mm Rhodium dial, or 40mm for that matter. I had to go grey but no regrets whatsoever.

I was in my AD yesterday asking about the YM 40 and he told me that they very rarely receive them with the steel bracelets, almost all of the ones they receive are the two-tone. Take that FWIW but they did have several in the display case, all of which were two-tone.

I’ve seen the blue dial at my AD but that was before the CV shut down. I’ve never actually seen the rhodium dial in person

My AD had 1 or 2 but they were kept in the back room. Only found out because she asked if I was interested.

Not going to find the Rhodium on display but I did see a blue dial on display 3/20 at a tourist AD... should be able to get it within 6 month to a year though if you have good relationship with your AD!

Great pic, nice play of light. Lots of enabling pictures in this thread. I might expect to wait 2-3 months then as a guess which I'm fine with. I did consider the 116622 but the prices were not that much different from new so I'd rather go with the latest version.

My last stop at 2 ads was terrible stock wise for rolex. Nothing in the cases except ladies cellini and a few 36 mm tt datejusts.

Saw a two toned black dial yesterday. Also a Wimbledon and GMT Rose Gold. A few Datejusts and Cellinis.

The SS 116622 used to be very common between 2012 and 2017. Now anything sports steel seems to be absent from windows. It's all about two tones and full gold.

The 126622 is still probably building production/inventory. If you think the 116622 both blue and rhodium were out for a long time and had tons of inventory all over the world. If you want the newer update one. Id 100% expect a waitlist, soley based that’s its a new refrence.
Save some $ and buy the 116622. |

I’ve only seen TT or 37mm on display.
It’s a lovely watch that I’d love to add to my collection.

In April 2019, I went to one of my local ADs with the intention of buying either a 116622 Rhodium dial or a 116710BLNR for my dad's birthday. Of course I was told about the waiting game for the Batman. But the AD has a 37 YM on display; upon inquiring, the SA got a 40 YM Rhodium dial out from the vault for me to try on.
I put down 1k deposit for the 40 YM and told the SA that I wanted to sleep on it. He had no problem with it. Then I went to another AD nearby to inquire about Batman; they didn't have Batman but had a same 116622 Rhodium on display. I ended up buying the one that I had the deposit on a week later. Generally speaking, my experience is that the steel 40 YMs with 3135 caliber are usually on display and not difficult to get. Nevertheless, I'm not sure about the availability of the ones with the updated 3235 caliber. The Batman in the first photo belongs to the SA; he let me take a look and compare the two watches. In the second photo I put the 116622 Rhodium dial on my wrist to compare with my Blancpain. Because the 40 YM was a gift to my dad, I didn't take off the plastic protector at the time. |

Yeh, it can really vary depending on the light. It looks it’s best in direct sunlight I think, as the Rhodium dial and blue seconds hand really look amazing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
