Good Price for Daytona Meteorite?

I'm in the market for a new look to replace my 20+YO 16233. My LJ showed me a very good condition 116509 Meteorite with lume hands. He wants upper 20's for it. Good deal?

I saw at Chrono24 for about $30K.

Upper20's sound like a fair price.

Yeah, but internet stores are overpriced imo. I'm trying to see if anyone got it under 25.

Doubt it. If lume hands it has the new buckle, so unless in bad shape you’re not going to find it for mid 20s.

Is that the one where one buckle recessed into the other? I thought that was nice.

Yes that’s the latest style. I collect 116509s because of their beautiful dials. Hardest part is finding a crisp bezel. Biggest giveaway of a heavy refinish.

Thanks for this tip. Can you elaborate further? I haven't been keeping up with watches lately. I just wear them to enjoy.

All depends on the condition. "Very good condition" could literally mean anything.

Could be decent enough price, but I’d be careful to see if it was due for a service.

My local dealer has one with the older buckle, non lumed hands for 28 which was the best price I’ve see. So I’d say high 20s low 30s is a good price for the newer version given proper condition.
