FS: NOS Vintage Tritium Hands for 1030 Calibre Subs 6536 and 6538 Models
Up for sale is one set of original steel and tritium Hour, Minute and Second hands for the Rolex Sub utilizing the 1030 calibre movement. The following information is from the Vintage Submariner site.
"The 6538 was produced from 1954 -1959 and carried the Rolex caliber 1030; while the reference 6536 was produced from 1955 -1959 and also housed the caliber 1030. These two references are the so-called "James Bond" Submariners." I do not know the difference between the sets of hands for other vintage subs...all I know is these hands were purchased by me from a watch material house. The watch tech that sold me these hands stated they were for the Rolex Sub that utilized the 1030 calibre movement. In fact, when asked about other model sub hands (i.e. 5512/5513 or 1665/1680), he stated they sold hands according to the movement calibre....upon checking for those calibre movements, the tech stated they no longer had any left. This set of hands (H, M, S) are in near perfect condition and are original Steel with original Tritium. The tritium has long since died, but have a beautiful patina. I am asking $558 US for this set of hands, plus 3% paypal and shipping charges. The cost for Registered Mail (includes tracking, no insurance, 7-10 business days) is $15 US. The cost for Express post mail (includes tracking, signature, insurance up to $800 US, 3-4 business days) is $60 US. Please email me if you have any questions. Thank you. Pete aka crayfish |
