President on NATO vs Gator - Opinions Wanted

Opinions wanted. Which looks better for the office? Same watch with blue NATO and brown alligator.

Simply interested in a different look...

Once you put it on a Nato or leather strap it’s no longer a President...

You’ve reduced it to a DayDate.

I prefer the leather if i had to chose between the two, but my strong preference would be a President bracelet.

I can’t even fathom a NATO on a Day Date. No

I tend to agree OP, but it’s your watch. If I had a DayDate I’d never take it off it’s bracelet, but it’s your watch

To me, it’d be like changing from aluminum rims to plastic hub caps

You just aren't being creative enough.

I personally like it, if only for the responses it gets from some Rolex fans.

Crocodile straps on a day date, an older day date squeak by. But a NATO on Rolexes flag ship reference? Total blasphemy. You might as well wear a tie dye strap and really set the thing a blaze.

I mean it's a matter of personal taste and the will to do it. People are drooling over putting the SkyD on what equates to a very fancy RubberB despite it cheapening the overall look of the watch.

I wear my 1603 on a Nato from time to time, especially when I don't want to ruin the leather strap or bust the jubilee bracelet.

You might want to do a little bit of research on the oyster flex strap. Comparing it to a $10 NATO or a rubber B is not very accurate. But do whatever you like with a day date. Some people die their hair green. Just saying.

No to the nato, no way.

The bracelet makes it a president.

CANNOT BE UNSEEN!
there should a warning/disclaimer about potentially disturbing images!

Seriously though... the Bracelet is what makes the piece what it is in my humble and meaningless opinion... it's a piece where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts...

I was afraid to click on this and I shouldn’t have. Absolutely no to the nato. The croc looks pretty nice. And yes, it’s only a president because if the bracelet.

Sorry but the nato is probably the worst Rolex strap combo I have ever seen.

It is no longer a president if not on the president bracelet. It doesn't look terrible on the leather but I'd just pick up a DJ for that.

With the gold dial I'd say really dark brown or maybe black leather/croc.

NATO is a no for me.

President bracelet is my preference. YMMV

It's your watch so do as you please.

However, IMO a DD on leather is one thing, putting it on a NATO is ridiculous. Christ, buy a replacement bracelet and restore the watch to the elegant and prestigious piece it is.

For the record: I dislike changing bracelets for straps so I'm very biased. Changing Rolex factory parts is not to my taste.

But, again: if you like it - do it.

Don't downgrade Rolex D-D with nato strap.

Alligator strap looks pretty good but original bracelet is the one belong to the name President.
