My daughter's new car!!

Hi guys,

My younger daughter, Yasmin, picked up her brand new Daihatsu Sirion....just a tiny little 1300 cc, 5-speed manual (stick) shift. Thought I'd share these pics with you guys. She's naturally over the moon!! These pics were taken on Sunday and it was wet as hell!!

I wouldn't even be able to get in a car that small.

Photos are great JJ, and your daughter is gorgeous!!!

That's a very valid point, Alex. Petrol here is NZ$1.77 per litre, which works out to over US$4 per gallon.

Thanks, guys. Yasmin is quite thrilled with all the compliments!!

BTW, Allan...you'd be surprised how roomy these "little" cars actually are. I'm 6 foot tall and weigh 187, but when I sat behind the wheel, I still had like 6" of headroom, plenty of leg room and very comfortable to drive.

I even sat at the back with the grandkids while Yasmin drove....very comfy too for a tall person. These cars have been engineered from inside out....very spacious and really quite comfortable.

I guess I should have qualified my statement a bit. I have problems getting in and out of cars "close to the ground". That's why I have chosen a Chrysler PT Cruiser - it is high enough off the ground to let me get in and out without problems. Most other cars, including my wife's Grand Am GT, are WAY too close to the ground, and I have to struggle to get in and out of them. Sort of like sitting down on the ground.

Anyway, glad you and daughter are enjoying the new car!

Congratulations to Ya5min on her new wheels, JJ.

Cute car and a beautiful daughter. You have a beautiful family, pal. Fortunately it seems they all get the good genes from Zemina. Thank heaven you have the recessive genes.

Sweet ride. Getting a new car is always such a rush.
Not quite like getting a new watch, but close.
