New Member. Serious about buying a new/used Rolex.
Hello-
New member from nj here. Any credible sellers on this site? TempoKing, davidsw, Lawrenceb? Ebay is just too risky for me being I just starting liking rolexes and don't know enough about each rolex. Which one would you prefer the most? 16613 TT blue 16610 Green Sub 50th anniversary? Please advise. |

Welcome to TRF. Glad you found us. Enjoy your stay here.
There are a number of credible sellers here. Check out the "Buyers/Sellers Who's Who" Board. Importantly, the question is not what watch we like. It's what you like. If you don't have one particular watch in mind yet, visit your local ADs and look at as many as you can. You have to decide on whether you like a sport watch or a dress watch. Do you want SS, YG, TT? Do you want one or more complications - date, 24 hour hand, chrono. Once you have that sorted out, you can narrow down your choices. The fun is in trying to determine what you want. The fullfillment comes in getting what you want. Best of luck in the hunt.

Thanks for the reply..much appreciated. I love both watches so I can't go wrong with either. I just have a feeling as I grow older (i'm 27) I'll gradually like the TT more than SS. But I do like the 50th anniversary sub as I believe it will be a collectors item down the road.
Also I went to an AD yesterday and the sales lady told me that a new version of the 16613 TT blue should come out in sept 09. Slightly different blue color. Initially I was very skeptical buying from a non-AD but it seems most people don't and that can save you a lot of money. My whole thing was..If i'm going to buy a watch that I will use for the rest of my life I don't mind forking over an extra G (give or take) by buying from an AD. I just don't want to get burned and the only way I'll be 100% is buying from an AD. That is why I just wanted to get some referrals. |

Welcome aboard..
You're right...the best experience is with an AD..... and you can be sure that you are the first owner with all the initial perks.. That's worth a few bucks and peace of mind too.....
