Average wait for BLRO in UK?

Been on the list for about 6 months and have been advised I will get the next one in, just wondering what others are experiencing in terms of waiting lists in the UK? This particular AD I’ve bought a SD43, DJ41 Wimbledon TT and some jewellery in the last year, not sure if that makes me a big spender in the scheme of things.

Cheers
Mike

I think you need to reassess your priorities cos more than likely you are being taken for a ####.

Many ADs are well known to dangle a promise that in many cases doesn’t and will never materialise.

That’s what I’m thinking he means

Yeah, that’s what I gathered, just wondering what he’d say as he doesn’t know the relationship I have. I’d like to think I have a good relationship with my AD and that they are being upfront and honest with me. Anyways, time will tell.

Depends on where your AD is. In London I would say no. But I don’t know UK market. In NYC that would be no

All depends what kind of customer you are. Could be 2 weeks, could be 4 years.

That spend in a year would make you a decent hitter outside London. However not in London.

However if they like you, you’ve got more of a chance.

Does this apply to WOS and ADs under them too. I was told it's all centralized now .

I think that there was a bit more “standardization” to the list a few years ago. Nowadays it seems a list can be 15 minutes to 15 years. The fact you are on one is good at least but hard for any of us to assess if you are being told things truthfully or semi-truthfully.

If they have said you are next then I doubt you’ll have long to wait.

I got mine when the first came out quite quickly but they’ve become harder since then.

Not sure who your ad is but my sa in london said he saw 3 on each of the last 2 deliveries back in November when I asked. So if your next, fingers crossed for January.... not sure what the cut off period is for deliveries over Christmas.

I'm jealous but fingers crossed for you

So 6 in one month? That’s hardly a rare watch then....not that it bothers me as I want the watch regardless, but at that rate these long wait lists won’t be around for long.

Not sure how often they receive deliveries as I didn't ask. But my thought when he said that was same as you just said.. . Felt quite positive.

My SA did say to me though and made pretty clear that they are a jewellers and want people to buy they're jewellery and not just a hyped watch now and again.

Since I bought my DJ41 from them the wife lost her stone from her engagement ring and instead of getting it repaired I said she can choose one from my AD which she loves and can't stop staring at, and also her birthday is in January so I have bought her a nice necklace for then.

End of the day I would of got her jewellery anyway, so why wouldn't I purchase from them.... Nice jewellery, nice staff, happy wife and il enjoy my BLRO when it eventually comes.

That Pepsi will arrive as soon as the AD is ready to give it to you. I don’t think you’re necessarily next on the list - you’ll soon get put back on the ‘list’ if someone comes in and drops £50k

Not true, my AD told me that whilst the customer who comes in and buys a DD is very welcome, if that is the only time that the customer visits the shop it is not what the store is looking for long term.

The AD is keen to develop business with regular customers so is looking for clientele who spend regularly rather than just the once. So the OP may get his BLRO reasonably quickly.

I'm not in the UK, but what I can tell you is that it all comes down to either relationship or total spend depending on the AD you deal with. In general the "list" is merely a mechanism to incentivise you to either spend more with them or to get you to rather bother someone else, there are exceptions though.

I waited 3 months for my BLRO, but am very fortunate to have a great AD owner and store manager that I've become friends with over the past year.

If your SA said you will get the next one in, I think your chances are quite good. If you do not get the call within the next 6 months, then your SA was BSing you.
