Here we go...another would you?

As you will see from my signature block, I have a nice little collection, with the most recent addition being my 126711 CHNR.

I tried on the 126715 CHNR and WOW! The piece is amazing. I love my two-tone, but the full RG is an absolute stunner.

So here goes...would you trade the 126711 CHNR, a 114060 (no date sub), and a PAM1392 plus $10k for the 126715 CHNR? It's A LOT to give up, but its also putting me into an amazing piece.

I'd be left with a DJII, Hulk, WG Daytona on OF, the RG CHNR, and a Tudor BB58.

I know it's my decision and to do what I want, but this is a watch forum and I'm curious to know others' thoughts. And no, I do not plan on basing my decision on the feedback, I just want to know what my fellow enthusiasts/collectors/crazies think.

You’re right, it is your choice but I’ve I had to decide then I personally wouldn’t!

I’ve got a relatively decent collection and have an array of GMT watches...the only one I don’t have is a the FULL CHNR. I do admittedly have the RG SARU so that does take of that itch but if I didn’t own that then wouldn’t anyway.

A FULL RG watch is “AWESOME” but personally I don’t find as wearable as a Bi-Met or WG watch (personal opinion of course).

I feel you’d be losing 3 very good watches for the sake of having a FULL RG that you may not wear that often due to the other watches you own and presume will rotate.

If owning a RG Rolex is your thing then the CHNR is a fine choice (DD40 Olive dial is another I’m sure others would debate).

Keep us posted and let us know which way you decides pal!

Thanks...another thought was the RG Day Date, but I didn't want to complicate the poll/post anymore and everyone would've said I should figure out what I want first before making such a big leap (which I find hard to disagree with).

I voted yes. I love the 126715, also not a fan of PAMs, two-tone and no date watches.

No way. I hate multiple watch trades for one. Too much to regret. You bought all those for a reason it’s unlikely you actually dislike them all. I’d keep saving and try to add with giving up less.

I would not. I actually find the 711 CHNR more attractive and wearable than the 715. Not worth the upgrade at the cost of two additional watches and $10K, imo.

A DD40 (assuming you want the Olive dial) will need even more cash on top.

Why not just dump the PAM and the Sub, pocket $10-15K instead of giving $10K away, and enjoy your CHNR?

The OF Daytona, Hulk, CHNR, and DJ would be a heck of a Rolex quartet!

That'll be a big fat 'NO' from me.

The TT Rootbeer is one of Rolex's most beautiful pieces, and is far more flexible than the full RG.

That’s a real tough choice. I would do it. That full RG is pretty amazing.

How much do you really like RG? It looks great in pictures. Also when on display. But are you mentally able to wear it on your wrist?

Me personally am a Rose Gold fan and would do that trade

Giving up too much just for more gold on the same watch IMO.

I would keep TT CHNR, trade DateJust+Pam+Tudor+some cash for RG Day-Date 40 with Olive dial.

I voted yes based on your remaining watches and the full gold being an absolute beauty (imo).

Loved: "I know it's my decision and to do what I want, but this is a watch forum and I'm curious to know others' thoughts. And no, I do not plan on basing my decision on the feedback, I just want to know what my fellow enthusiasts/collectors/crazies think."

Lol. I had to give the qualifier as some people here are way too uptight. Sometimes putting a member in their place is warranted, but many times its unnecessary and comes across poorly.

that added $10k cash is all fluff and pure profit to whomever you're "trading" with. it's a terrible trade, no way.

This is exactly right.

If the dream is a full RG watch, I would aim for the DD40 with chocolate dial (and keep the TT CHNR).

And if you feel like you “need” to flip some to make it happen, I would look to the DJII and BB58 and cash (and 114060 if that extra flip were absolutely necessary).

I would do it for a RG DD40

I would not do it for the RG GMT.

Love the DD40 too; just didn't want to complicate the thread as stated above. Same deal with a RG DD40 would cost me about $7-8k.

I'd try to sell the pieces privately and tilt the numbers a little more in your favor - then yes I'd make the move.

Too many watches to give up. The 126711 CHNR is a TT stunner in and of itself
