Two tone Rolex - white gold wedding band
Hey TRF. Anyone out there rock a two tone watch with a white gold wedding band? If so, I’d love to see your pics. Particularly a two tone DJ36.

Player rules 101.......never mix metal at all cost.
It’s like wearing a gold chain with a stainless steel watch..... |

It goes perfectly fine with two tone, or solid gold for that matter. Mine is platinum but same idea. It’s a wedding band, not sure why I’d change it out to match something else, and I pray that my wife never comes up with that idea for her rings!

Two tone Rolex - white gold wedding band
When it’s on rotation, I rock a Ss/Yg DJ36 with a Pt/Rg wedding band. It’s one heck of a mismatch for sure but it works for me! I don’t really care about matching accessories but I imagine it would be much easier with a white metal band.

I assume the steel goes with the platinum and you meant different colored metals. I have a platinum band as well that every person in the world thinks is silver and have worn it with steel and white gold without any issues.

I think a two tone watch is versatile. It'll look fine with a white gold ring.

I don't believe it makes a difference as to band material and watch material. Bands should be more than a fashion statement, imho!!!

X2. “Wedding band is not a fashion statement but a symbol of love and devotion. It’s supersedes anything superficial like fashion.”
and that gentleman is why I am happily married for over 26 years now and don’t have to ask to buy a new watch.. |

Tell your wife you had to remove your wedding band because it clashes with your watch.

i echo the opinion that mixing metals isn't a big deal anymore. I think back in the 80s it was for sure a fashion faux pas, but "rules," if you call them that, have been relaxed. Some of the newest appliances are even mixing stainless and copper or bronze.
Your wedding ring is an eternal symbol, and as stated above, supersedes all else. I rocked my white metal band with the CHNR and wear it with my full RG aqua terra. No on should be looking that closely and judging what you wear (wear it for you), and if they do, they don't matter anyway! Have confidence and wear what you want how you want! |
