Question: Daytona 116519 - two colour dials?
I just noticed there seems to be two 116519.
One with black dial and diamond hourmarkers, and the other (new?) is gray dial with white gold hourmarkers? Does anyone know if the gray dial with white gold hourmarkers has been discontinued? I just wrote to my AD but was wondering if anyone has the info before I get a reply. Thank you so much. |

No not discontinued. Multiple watches from rolex can have the same reference. There's actually three using the 116519 reference, the other one being a mother of pearl dial I think

Thank you - and I meant that the one with the one with black dial and diamond hourmarkers might be the new one as I hadn’t seen it before. Apologies for the misquote.

This isn’t new, it’s been available for a long time. Never seen one though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They are all available for the taking at gray-market prices in Japan. The MOP dial also has diamonds. One of the reasons why you have not seen the gray dial/silver hour markers is because it's now become harder to find, least of all at ADs. (That's the situation here.) I believe it is the most popular of the 116519LN series. I fell in love with it at first sight and upgraded by selling my SS-c white Daytona + another watch. Good luck finding one.

Thank you so much - my London AD promised me one, and reaffirmed a couple of days ago that it shouldn’t be too long now. She’s already got me my 116500, so I’m patiently waiting. |
