It is coming in next week. My wrist is about 7.5 to 8 inches. I couldn't justify paying 100% premium on top of the mrsp for the 116500.

Obv. will get some bias as this is TRF, but the Daytona is simply the best in terms of overall fit with the best bracelet and clasp, in my opinion... it deserves the hype status. I think the Ed White is a close 2nd, that watch also comes with a great bracelet, and has beautiful finishing and a great history combined with an incredible dial.

The AP does nothing for me. Also, I personally hate integrated bracelets.

AP definitely has a better bracelet, and that’s coming from a Daytona owner. Gotta step away from the Rolex kool-aid every now and then.

I have to go with the Daytona. Picked up my first today and already have the Moonwatch. That vertical clutch preventing stutter and crisp column wheel have to give that Daytona the edge over the others. The fit and feel is just wonderful IMO.

They all sell over retail on the secondary market. Can't get one at the AD very readily. They are all about the same case size. They are all chronos but your cell phone has a more accurate stopwatch on it than any of these wrist watches. All three are currently in production. So it comes down to which is produced in the lowest number? Maybe that's the AP. Which will they discontinue soonest? maybe the Ed White. Which has a date complication the AP. Which would cost less to service? Maybe the Omega. Which has the most notoriety among the non watch enthusiast crowd? The Rolex. I think I would take the Rolex because it just has more emotional feel to it. And the Rolex brand needs no introduction. Although either of these is a great watch to own and enjoy.

Leaving the mechanics and polishing aside, as far as the overall design/looks are concerned, the Daytona is far above IMO. I love (and have) an AP, but not chronograph. And while that AP dial is a "panda", the color combo seems a little "loud" for me. But acquiring an AP RO of any sort is definitely worth pursuing.

Also worth considering is which would make a good addition to your collection?

None of them, I´m afraid! I have no use for a chronograph...the timing bezel on my Sub 14060 does the job for me. And I cannot read the sub dials clearly on any chrono I've handled without my reading glasses. And I would never pay the asking price of <€14,000 for the Ed White. Cheeky pricing from Omega imho!

So because say AP are not made the same numbers as say Rolex or Omega they are not mass produced products. Yes the AP has a fine movement but so do many others, although not a fan of the Daytona or any of the RO range, movement wise the Daytona horology speaking is equal or slightly better.

Disagree. Just because AP is part of the Holy Trinity doesn’t mean the design is more appealing. The OP’s suggested 38mm AP model wears very small, which is odd because APs usually wear bigger. (I’ve tried it on several times and passed at a chance to purchase at retail.) And that crooked date window that looks shoe-horned between the hour markers kills the dial for me.

Omega makes too many Speedy re-dos and varieties for me to get excited over the Ed White.

I vote Daytona!

How does the AP size compare to the daytona? I read that it wears about the same size. I was going to one of my grays that have it stock to see it in the metal. AP usually feels larger than what they are and its why I kind of counted out the 41. I prefer 41 or smaller even though I have a 7.5” wrist that can handle it.

26331 would be much better than 26315 for that wrist size, IMO.

I say this as an owner of Daytona C. AP ROC is a stunner. But then again, this is very subjective and based on your taste.

I really appreciate the history, movement, and heritage of AP RO. Also, it is a gorgeous time piece.

btw, how much is the AP ROC from grey nowadays? $30-40k?
