Did I make a good choice? I sold a 116500LN SS white Daytona after 3 days

Last Thursday I bought a pre-owned 116500LN SS white Daytona by trading in a watch that I owned for 7 years and could no longer read the small print on the dial. And I added a few $1000s in cash.

While looking at the SS Daytona, I spotted a 116519LN WG OF Daytona and had to try it on. It was love at first sight. Because of the price difference, though, I ended up buying the SS Daytona. However, even with the SS Daytona on my wrist, I couldn’t stop thinking about that beautiful WG Daytona.

Unable to resist any longer, yesterday I found another pre-owned WG OF in better condition at another dealer. There, I traded-in the SS Daytona. (I made a few $100s just 3 days after buying it. ) Also, I traded-in one more watch, getting the same price that I paid when I bought it 10 years ago. And I got some cash back in the end. I am so pleased to have this addition to my collection. I have no buyer’s remorse with the transaction. But then, I did let go of an SS Daytona. Hummm.

This! The watch that sings to me. The 116519LN WG
http://

It was a beauty, but it didn't sing to me.

You made the right choice. The WG OF daytona is the creme of the crop. Great choice

Both are great looking pieces but the one that lights you up is the one to own! I always have a bit more bounce in my step when I wear my favorite timepiece & it never seems fade so enjoy, as its not easy to find!

Great decision as far as I’m concerned. Remove the hype, and as good as the SS is, it doesn’t compare to the WG.

Daytona is a spectacular watch and that white gold dial is super nice.

You said you have difficulty with legibility of your prior watch? the Daytona is not ideal.

Yeah, that's why I got rid of my Daytonas. But they are gorgeous.

Sounds like the OP had a bit of an adventure and came out of it with what he wanted and did OK financially. Nothing wrong with that.

Can't go wrong with either. The WG looks fantastic!

Personally, for me, I would have kept the SS. I'm not a fan of the oyster flex.

If i were to go WG I'd gone with the full WG daytona on bracelet. But that's just me. You gotta buy what you like and what you will wear

Congrats!
It seems more legible than the steel Daytona white dial.

I gave my steel Daytona to my oldest son who loves it. And he can easily read the time on it.

You had me until I read this "could no longer read the small print on the dial" then I was out as Daytona's are the hardest to read and yet you got one and then got another.

Congrats though if you are happy that s all that counts.

Both are great. The perfect watch would have been the 116519 in SS with a SS band. I.E. the current 116500 with the 116519 dial. Imagine how hot hat would be? 100 year waiting list for sure.
