FS: 1982 Vacheron Constantin 222 46003 VC 2021 Service, Box and Papers

Description: Absolutely awesome and rare midsize Vacheron Constantin 222 reference 46003 in 18k yellow gold. Dating from 1982 the watch is in near mint condition with only the most minor signs of handling. Just returned from a mechanical service at Vacheron Constantin Geneva. There is no 2 year warranty as we opted to keep the original dial and hand lume.

Looking at the striking champagne ‘sigma’ dial it features creamy and evenly aged lume plots that match perfectly with the original handset. There is very minor lume loss at the 11 o’clock marker (shown in photos).

The case edges are sharp displaying its original factory finish with the most visually pleasing patina also beginning to form around the Maltese cross in the lower right corner of the case. Turing the case over the hallmarks are incredibly crisp to the eye (and loupe!).

Moving on to the bracelet the links are in pristine condition with zero stretch having very likely only been worn a handful of wears. A gorgeous and subtle feature is the white gold clasp, signed ‘GF’ Gay Frères, with hallmarks also extremely crisp.

The set comes complete with box, guarantee and interestingly the bezel remover tool, which is required for access to the movement and usually lost or thrown away over the years. This is a unique opportunity to own such an iconic model from the Holy Trinity in near time capsule condition.
