Hi,

I am looking into buying a Rolex. I looked at the Milgauss white face today, but i really wanted the GV. Appenretly there is a waiting list of 7 people !! AD told me that it was rare and they have only received 1 in stock over the last few months.

Could people suggest their opinion on best first Rolex model for me as a first timer ?

Also is it better to buy from an AD or somewhere like watches.co.uk ??

Thanks alot
Jason

All depends who you ask.

In Japan there are plenty of GVs being advertised. In Sydney there were none.

If you are keen, call up ADs all round and ask. They will mail you one if they have it in stock.

Hi Jason
Welcome to TRF
The GV is a stunning watch, quite hard to find (in the UK anyway) but not impossible.
Have you considered an SS Sub/date as a first Rolex, a must in any collection.
Which ever you decide get the one that smiles at you!!
Good luck in your search, remember half the fun is in the chase

CheersPaul

Welcome to TRF! The white face on a Milgauss is just great and I like the orange/red in it very much myself!
