Back to the dark side

I’m happy to be back to the dark side. Panerai was one of my first watches. I realized that i would eventually be back.

At first I was planning to go 422 but I couldn’t pull it off and would have problems with the plexiglass.

I ended up with the 510. Couldn’t find the original base models but I guess the 8 days upgrade is good enough.

I enjoyed the hunt for this one. My old ammo straps worked great too.

All you need is some Pam dna

Congratulations. Love the 510. Sandwich dial and 8 day movement make it a winner

What's the story with that strap? It's awesome!

Oh yeah, the 510 is my next watch. Well done!

Nice!

By the way the 422 is not plexus. The 372 had that on early models.

Yes 372 my bad. It was nice but huge for 6.5 inch wrist. Maybe if i felt a little more in your face attitude

It is made from vintage ammunition pouch hence ammo strap. It's very soft, comfortable yet thick. I had mine customized and fit to my size. Mine is from a guy named peter gunny. He knows his straps.

I find it harder and harder everyday to put on my 116610LN when my wrist now yearns only for the 111

I’ve since got my 510 referenced in my post above. I also have a 111 and to tell the truth I think the 510 dial is balanced better with the 8 Days on it and I prefer the fat six of the 510. Having said that the 111 is still a keeper, it’s got a more vintage vibe to it and I enjoy the ETA DNA.
