FP Journe Discussion Forum

Hello

Can the Forum Moderators Create a separate FP Journe Discussion Forum that is a Sub Forum to the Watches (Non-Rolex) Forum?

I see other brands have separate sub forums.

I think the Forum moderators and administrators in advance

Thanks

No disrespect to the brand, but there's barely a thread a week about Journe. Not worth a separate forum yet.

And I created two in one week. I am so proud of myself

Seriously though, I was lurking in the other watch site’s FPJ section, there is barely one post per month. But when someone posted, the response usually comes in quickly. So there are a lot of collectors out there who keeps an eye on the internet but not actively posting.

Go to watchprosite. They are the most active FPJ forum

If you want to browse lots of pretty Journes from one forum frontpage, it's a a great place to go for a dose of horological porn! A couple of weeks ago there was a great black mother of pearl dial Calendrier - awesome.

I think there probably isn't enough traffic here to add a whole Journe 'community' in its own subforum, as they're a low volume producer and the occasional 'incoming', or ongoing 'wow look at the high price and low availability of chronometre bleu' thread, can easily be accommodated in this generalist 'other brands' forum without swamping it. I really like the brand (without being an owner) but suspect it would be just another subforum that you have to go and check to see if anything interesting is happening.

Honestly it wouldn’t be active enough by TRF standards. Some other forums you click on sections and they are stagnant. That’s not really the MO here.

Believe me I wish there was one and it was active!

I would be in favor of a separate FPJ forum.

What's the benefit? Why would a mostly dead forum be a good thing?

Is it so hard to do a search? If so, maybe that's what should be improved.

Agre If there's a PP form then obviously the higher-end brand FP Journe needs a board.

Also, how about FINALLY creating a resale/flipping/price board while TRF is at it? C'mon, you can do better TRF, so I'd like to hear WHY there's no board for resale/flipping/price. Give us a VALID reason moderators.

There seem to be more threads on FP Journe than on Breitling and they have a forum.

We should have a Vacheron forum, seems like we get more new threads here than any other brand

Perhaps no need for a dedicated forum, just a singular thread.

Great idea if the moderators won't allow a separate line.

FP Journe Invenit et Fecit by Jean Pierre Grosz.
Its about the the history of FP, his childhood, how he grew up, how he was introduced to watch making, and how he eventually found success. I enjoyed reading it, and would recommend it.

I agree. It’s quite substantial in size too. I think it will get you just about all you need.

Does anyone know when FPJ releases new models? Is it random or a specified date?

Great question. I am on the look out for July 1st Only Watch showing which should show some possible new models and from others like David Candaux.
