Which size RO?
I’m beginning the process of looking to buy a Royal Oak.
Reading into the matter it appears that they wear big, due to the large lug to lug width, and suspect that I should probably be looking at the mid-size offerings to fit my 7 inch wrist. What size do others with similar size wrists wear? |

33mm and 41mm on my 7.25 inch wrist. Don't let size dictate what you wear, it's all doable if you like the watch

Thanks. I guess I am going to have to find somewhere I can try them for size.

They usually have sold ones sitting in the safe waiting to be shipped. They will usually let you look at them if you ask nicely. I was able to try the 38mm chrono and 15500 recently.

Unfortunately my nearest AD appears to be on the opposite side of the country but will see what I can do. One consideration is weight. Are there any reliable sources of weight for various Royal Oak / Offshore watches? The reason I ask is one watch I pwn os the heaviest I’d like to go. |

15500ST is 167g, 26331ST is 182g. For reference, Rolex BLNR (oyster) is 149g. All sized for a 7" wrist. Source: My wife's kitchen scale.

My wrist is smaller than yours and I just bought a 42mm ROO. Don’t overthink it.

I’ve been in love/lust with the 38mm 26315st for a while but until this week not tried one on.
Did so this week and was somewhat dejected that it just doesn’t work at all on my 7.25” wrist ![]() Back to the 15500 and 26331 for me… |

Thanks.
I’ve found some detailed dimensions online that will allow me to create some 3d prints to see how they look for size. |

My CAD skills aren’t that strong but I’m sure, with the help of tutorial videos, I’ll come up with something close enough to be a good indication.

I uh…think there’s a wait list to see those as well. For real. And depending on how VIP they don’t show you everything.

Having someone else work on the CAD files, for 3d printing, after a frustrating evening yesterday trying to do it myself. It’s something I do need to learn
![]() In the meantime I have been looking at other watches in my collection and found one with a lug to lug measurement only 2 mm less than the 41 & 42mm variants. Giving it a bit more wrist time at the moment but already feeling like I will veer towards the 39mm options. |

They definitely do wear large due to the case shape. By about 1mm 1.5mm.

I'm looking into one too, though suspect it isn't too large. I know it is a personal issue if so.
