Bark texture 16013
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago about an incoming 1978 16013 that was bark textured on the S/S parts of the bracelet and the shoulders of the watchhead.
The bracelet is a US 'JB' bracelet which indicates a US aftermarket edition. The watch has personal engraving on the caseback. Interesting I think |

The JB Champion and the C&I US made bracelets were issued on new Rolex in their era. There were tax considerations which caused various parts to be manufactured locally. Now you know. :)

Yes Richard, I was aware. Rolex had bracelets manufactured in the UK (Birmingham) and elsewhere also because of this 'tax' problem. :-)

My point was they are not aftermarket, I should have been more clear. :)

Ahh., sorry yes I was aware of their supply to Rolex, my reference to the 'aftermarket' was the bark effect on the bracelet -which I can not for the life of me seeing Rolex ever doing-. Sorry to mislead
