Another air show of sorts :-)

This afternoon I went to the nature reserve again but the light was not good and the smaller birds were scarce. I decided to concentrate on gulls, ducks and geese.

Bye

Very nice!
This one I like alot:

I just like ducks though
I'm actually doing a small painting at the moment, and some of your bird photos were used as inspiration. I'll post some pics when I'm done (or I've had enough of it!)

Are you finding that the new D2x is giving you more detail in areas?

They were introduced in the 17th century for private homes with large grounds.

I'd love to see the paintings.

The extra pixels do mean that I can crop and not gain too much grain/noise.

Marvelous work.
Do you have comments on a
Nikon D80 and 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED-IF AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor
lens combo.
I'm needin a new box soon and think this might be the ticket
I shoot primarily small and large sailboats in action on the water for a yacht club publication.

Supurb shots, Adrian. Are you sure you're not cribbing a professional shooter's stock?

Those pics are pure poetry and professional quality.

I have been using a D200 with the same lens and like it a lot. I find it doesn't focus as fast as some of my other lenses but it's still no slouch. The new D80 sounds like a real bargin and I expect it will give the D200 a run for it's money.

Those are simply great

Those pictures are great - how do you get them so sharp and crisp?

It's mainly the lens and then I add a bit of sharpness in Photo shop, not too much though or the pictures go grainy.
