L serial 5513 Everything look ok?

Being advertised as a L serial and all original and untouched. I've included a few photos for the experts to have a look at. Does anything here seem off? Thanks In advance .

Have you seen the L serial 5513 on Hqmilton? Just as a ref to the balance of price and condition. I had a nice transaction with them a few years ago

I havn't checked back recently but if I remember correctly it had bad dial bubbling unless we are talking about completely different watches.

edit: the bubble dial was an 84 and the L serial HQ has is $300 USD more than this one.

I think the one above has a better case as well. Hq took care of me and a friend. He bought a watch that was in string running condition. H

Yeah I agree. The HQ case looks a bit soft.

Good-looking Sub! Great case. Hard to say for sure whether it's absolutely unpolished, but the case is certainly nice and thick.

What's the asking price?

Not a bad price for an average condition case with a later service insert.

Nice 5513, the price is ok and take in consideration that it would need a MK3 if you're in to it.
Would be nice to check the bracelet as well...

Average condition meaning banged up a bit? Or overpolished ? Or maybe something else ?

Were the hands replaced or is this how it goes with later 5513s?

When I look at other 5513s on chrono I see a lot more where the hands don't match the dial. Only ever so slightly and not really that noticeable.

I’ve noticed this a lot too on 5513’s, maybe it’s just the lighting in the photos but on this particular one the colour is a match.

Excuse me for asking the experts but how to know it’s a service or replacement insert from these pics? Would you expect the tritium lume in the dial to show some patina for its age? I dont see any. Asking just to learn vintage!

Thanks for all the replies. So the proper insert would be the mk8 for this model as referenced by the chart posted above right?

Beautiful contribution Steve.

Just bumping it again cause we seemed to have different opinions on the proper insert for a 1989 5513 . MK3 or MK8?

Looking at Xeramic table on VRF should be a MK8 with the "uniquely wide flat top on the 4" cit.
(not MK3 like I mistakenly stated before, sorry for the confusion...)

Call it Mark 3, Mark 8 or Mark 100. Doesn't matter what someone calls it.

Below is the correct insert.

Worry less about the mark numbers and instead, what is correct.
