Agreed, but I think the questions are:

With the prices of everyday items going up, has this effected the Roelx secondary market?

Are these listings actually selling?

How's everyone getting on with the covid situation?

I think the Rolex market doesn't care about the prices of other items going up. They still change hands, but how much changes hands to an end consumer and not just between grey dealers? I am not sure.

Personally, pretty unaffected by the covid situation thankfully, just working from home for a year and a half. Hope the OP is doing alright with the covid situation :)

Being a fellow Minnesotan, I'll bite!

Yes, if you go to Chrono24 or look at Watchrecon, the prices of used watches are indeed quite eye opening. It's a seller's market for sure, like cars and anything else these days. It's crazy.

RE: Covid, yes it's also scary. My wife got a breakthrough infection in early September that was really bad. There were several times where we were close to having to take her in. She has asthma and the shortness of breath, malaise, and brain fog were real. Our good friend is the head of ER for one of the largest hospital systems here in the state and he said based on the severity of her symptoms, had she not been vaccinated she would have been in the hospital on oxygen for sure, and possibly even worse. We could be having a very different conversation right now. She is recovering and doing so much better. She just got her booster this weekend and I plan to get mine in the next week. Our two youngest are thankfully now eligible for vaccinations and we are taking them in this week.

Stay safe and enjoy these last few days of nice weather before the snow comes!

No it’s me just really in dismay about these prices going crazy . My hope of owning a white 39 OP or a 214270 are gone for ever . Sad but true it has made me think it’s time to step away from Rolex . Oh funny enough my friends call me Grizz !!

If Rolex is your hobby then I am sorry.

If watches are your hobby then there are many great brands with far more interesting and better finished watches than Rolex.

Good luck!
